Why did he go up high on the QB late? He could have easily barreled through him at the waist, hell he had to try to hit hit him high. Fitz is 4-5 inches taller. It's a borderline call that should never have had to happen

He hit him in the chest. I'm not sure why so many Bama fans want that to be targeting now.

Look at how his body and head moves. That's all you need to see from this angle. Simple physics.

It's easier to blame the refs, the SEC office, and Alabama then to blame Devin White for hitting that high. I even saw Tom Ritter being blamed in other threads.

Devin White should not have put himself in the position to have a questionable call made.

It's clear as day that he had his arms extended out and first contact were both arms shoving him in the upper chest area. Like I said...this is a FACT based on video evidence. The shoving him in the chest caused Fitzgerald's head to come forward.

You're right. Their helmets colliding and going in opposite directions simultaneously clearly shows what happen.

He went up high when he could have easily wrapped up at the waist

He put himself in a position to be scrutinized, and he was found guilty

He let his team down

I don't give a shite how high he went as long as he stayed below the neck, which he did.

Herein lies the biggest problem of all. Being found guilty is a farce.

Holy shite. You're fricking blind. At no point do the helmets move in a direction that suggests that they connected.

pitiful attempt, you should be ashamed. At least try to sound like you mean it.

At least quote the full sentence if you're going to pull this weak shite.

First contact don't mean shite. The rule clearly states..
quote:

leading with helmet, shoulder, forearm, fist, hand or elbow to attack with forcible contact at the head or neck area

He clearly led with his,"forearm, fist, hand or elbow" to attack with forcible contact at the head or neck area.

The refs disagreed, and the replay officials did too

That's what can happen when you put yourself in those situations

It was not a smart play

So hitting him in the chest means he was actually trying to hit him in the head or neck area?

That's an interesting spin on it.

Not when you've got competent replay officials.

I would have overturned it

It was still a situation that Devin should not have put himself in

You're asking football players not to make plays because they may get flagged. That is where we are headed and it's a problem.
