Damn Randy - a person would look at your post and think AU had a winning record over UGA & LSU in that same time frame.

A person who can't read maybe. I said nothing about Auburn in my post. Only that Miles and Richt are good coaches in great situations who consistently put good teams on the field but can't make the jump to consistent powerhouse.

In 22 years of coaching in the SEC between them they have 4 total SEC titles and are the flukiest season in college football history away from having 0 national titles.

The same way I did by just stating wrong information like the OP did. I am not sold on malzahn as even a better coach than Bert, I think his system catches hell this year just like the year after AU won the NC
Whoa! We've all been told Chizik was holdin Gus and his offense back in '11 & '12 it wasn't Gus' fault they got their arses stomped by their SEC bretheren.

Oh ok, you were just being stupid on purpose. Got it.

You're good. I didn't think it was possible to be any dumber and you achieved it.

How it occurred is still the same answer. What occurred happens every year.

2 loss teams win the national championship every year?

And only one SEC team has lost in the BSNC to an OOC in the last decade, I wonder who that could be

I'd be worried if I was you too. Our current head coach in his first year has already done more than Miles did in his first and shows no signs of slowing down.

ugh, I really hate win teams have a really good year. The fans pump their chest out like they weren't just nothing a year prior or years prior. If you can't get that defense going, don't expect an offense like that to ever beat us.

Teams that don't win their division made the NC.
Teams that don't win their conference made the NC.
A team that lost twice made the NC.

How did they all make the NC?

It's hard as hell to put a consistant powerhouse football team on the field - very few coaches can do it in anywhere and the SEC is even tougher.

Look, 2011 was a joke no argument there. Doesn't change anything about what happened in 2007 though.

2011: Excellent, dominant regular season and SEC champs that lost the national title game. This season is essentially the same as Auburn's in 2013.

You act as if LSU was the only two loss school and they got chosen over one loss schools.

Agree but elite coaches have done it and will do it again. Miles and Richt haven't.

Hell in 10 years AU has one less SEC title and the same about of National titles as UGA and LSU combined over the 22 year tenures of Miles and Richt.
