bama might be the weakest SEC bcs bowl rep ever

They just don't get it. They played NOBODY, except Florida. They were so very lucky to be ranked #1 for as long as they were. Maybe they will understand now that Saban is good, but not that much better than other good coaches.

At least they have a good coach, thanks to LSU.

Dude, you don't get it. We went 8-1 in the SEC, you went 3-5. LSU went 2-4 against the teams we went 5-1 against in conference plus we beat you head to head. Your out of conference wins were against App State (1-aa), Troy, North Texas, and Tulane. You only had 4 wins against BCS schools so save the we didn't play anybody crap until you do, and until you finish above .500 against BCS teams in a season.

What did you expect? This is the same team that lost to Louisiana-Monroe a Sun Belt team a year ago. All this season most of us have been saying and Waiting when and if they were going to do it again. It just so happens it happened in the last game of their season to a WSC team.

This game was suppose to be like Last season's Georgia/Hawaii Sugar Bowl Game but Alabama just really looked bad from the start.. :beatdeadhorse:

that's cute and all. Doesn't change the fact that bama was vastly overrated this year, lucky to be in a BCS bowl, and got arse pounded by Utah. good job embarrassing the conference.

terrible sugar bowl for local vendors. I talked to a restaurant guy, a bartender, a valet guy, 2 beer dudes outside, and a beer girl inside. All said it was a slow sugar bowl.

Probably had alot to do with alot of Utah fans being Mormon, and therefore, teetotalers.

true, and the fact that were a good number of empty seats at the game. Even the bama fans were all pretty subdued before the game and walking right past the guys selling beer from the ice chests on poydras. It was weird being at a big game in NOLA and never having to wait in line at the beer booths in the Dome. Odd. And i was in the Bama section.

We were overrated because we over achieved and were the only BCS undefeated going into the SECCG. I would rather have a team of over achievers than a team like LSU's this year that under achieved.

Sat with friends from Utah. We had a blast. They were trying to be nice but towards the end they let loose on the inbread bama fans. It was a terrific night and well deserved. If bama is back, then Auburn might be national champs next year.

whatever helps you sleep at night. the nation is laughing at Bama today, not LSU. The big stage games are what people remember. This Bama bed-shitting won't soon be forgotten by the national media.

My view from the Sugar Bowl;

We bought tix for $40 per as we drove down Poydras looking for a parking spot. We knew it would be cheap, big reason why we went. I could tell when we walked in that Bama fans wanted to say something, or choke me for being there. We got in late with Utah just then going up 21-0. I then knew why they wouldn't say anything.

We DID NOT go there to cheer against BAMA, just to be an impartial spectator. First college football game i've attended that did not involve the Tigers. Bama fans were in shock, they were not nearly as into the game as they normally are. Just a lot of pissed off men and women.

There seemed to be about 10,000 empty seats, UTAH really did not bring a large contingent. Bama would have had to bring 60,000 to sell it out.

Had a great time afterward with BOTH fanbases. Utah fans kept thanking us for hating Bama and Saban. Like us just being there helped them out or something. The random high fives and all the love from the UTES made me feel so strange because I wasn't there for them ,in particular.

UTAH players we talked to on Bourbon aferward (2:30 am)were STILL pissed at Sabans comments, and also praised us for hating on Bama/Saban. Called him many off-color names. Whittingham obviously used that bulletin board material to perfection.

The Bama players we met at Scores were cool and didn't give rave reviews of Saban, but gave the "he's a good coach, real strict, though" line. They said Kevin Steele was a giant prick. They also had a LOT OF DOUGH on hand at the scrip club. Cool kids.

BAMA women are just as slutty as Bama fans claim La. women are. The titty scene and sweet, nasty dancing in the clubs were dominated by Bama women. Props to the sweet blonde at whatever club we were at this morning.

Had a blast. to Bama fans, except for the douche in the piano bar who was fronting like he was ready to fight every young, smaller than him, UTE fan in the place.

All the UTES I partied with last night say your wrong on this one. They tried to drink enough for a 40,000 person contingent.

PS. They are not all Mormon and most of the Utes I met last night would punch you in the face for labeling them with that stereotype. They hate BYU and a lot of that has to do with BYU's religion/strict standards. They just didn't bring too many people.

Sounds similar to another bizarre stereotype that people actually believe - that all 4,800,000 Louisianians are of French Acadian descent. It's actually under 10%.
