Just a reminder: every team but two or three will look like shite the first few weeks

*This is not a thread about Florida.
Every year the first few weeks of the season is flooded with threads about how “so-and-so looks terrible.” “Football has gotten worse since such and such.” “(Insert rival team) looks way overrated.”
These teams are barely out of fall camp and are now competing in games. Lots of parts still have to gel, and they’re going to look sloppy.
There will be a few that look good, and it will be the usual suspects who have the top athletes. Alabama and Georgia will probably look like world beaters, but it’s easier to mask any deficiencies when you have the best athletes in weeks 1 and 2.
So have some patience and be happy football is back even if it all looks like shite football.

No.
Florida did not look "rusty".
They looked absolutely terrible.
Big difference.

Utah looked pretty good playing 2nd and 3rd string QBs.

What is this? Signs of intelligence in a wasteland of stupidity. Prisoners of the moment don't accurately describe this group. The defense is feasting on offenses. That Nebraska vs. Minnesota crapola last night was just more bad offensive execution.
Will it change, of course, because it always does? In the meantime, another truth will also be seen. Teams make the biggest jump of the season from the 1st to 2nd game.

Willingham might be the best pure coach in CFB. Not great at recruiting, but the man can coach a team

I assumed he was an LSU alter trying out a new angle before the FSU loss

We have 15 freshman and 14 new transfers traveling to Orlando this weekend. LSU fans should prepare for a shaky start even if we win. It was still fan to laugh at Floriduh last night even if I’m crying Sunday night.

Agreed, but if we're honest, literally almost everything in that game went wrong.
Like there were a handful of plays there that could've resulted in them still winning the game, even as badly as it actually went.
So they may in fact be a bad team, but the likelihood of those compounding events happening again is pretty remote, IMO.
