Bro straight up acting like Burrow is on the level of Brees and Brady or pretending like he didn't have Ryan as his QB.

Yep. Their numbers on this site will diminish the further we get away from the era where they signed the #1 class every year because they paid more than everyone.

Glad those days are gone where saban had alabama’s boosters in full lockstep to pay better than anyone else could under the table.
Why the frick didn't we get Cam then??

This coming from an auburn fan is pretty rich, considering the 180k paid to newton
It really just goes to show you how fricking stupid he is. If Saban was all that this clown says he was, Newton would have been playing in Tuscaloosa.

Julio was the most important recruit at the beginning of the Saban Dynasty...end of an era.
Julio's freshman year was so promising. The Atlanta Falcons promising. But JP Wilson was throwing the ball. G-Mac turned him into a glorified tight end.
Yeah, with all the money Saban was using to buy players with, why didn't he go out and buy Newton for the next year?

Second best.
He was ranked behind A.J. Green on a few recruiting sites.

Your boosters paid under the table for the #1 class almost every year for 16 straight years.
Your AD is begging for money because the dark money days are over.
The Supreme Court enabling NIL destroyed the possibility of another bear bryant/saban type of run at the university of alabama.
The same goes for Georgia and Kirby Smart. He had a good thing going for several years too. He took the same payment tactics to Athens.

Hea stud! Sure thought he was coming to OU. Probably the biggest one that got away.

Good for him. What a great player/person. Never heard one thing negative.

Wonder why he never capitalized on his accomplishments. Lesser players, like Devonte Adams, cashed in

Meh.
That was just the offense we were working in. You had two future NFL first rounders in the backfield in 2009 with Mark Ingram and Trent Richardson. Then in 2010 you had the three-headed monster of Ingram, Richardson, and Eddie Lacy. Despite that he still managed to have over 1,100 receiving yards in his junior year.
If Julio were only interested in racking up stats he would have gone to Oklahoma. Instead he chose Alabama.
JP Wilson was working in the same offense for 2 years and both QBs had the same OC throwing to Julio. Defenses always had to dedicate the extra guy in the box and even with single coverage, G-Mac would not throw the dam ball to this 6'3" flyer who could jump out of the stadium. The 2009 year was so bad we had Ingram running the Wildcat just to outnumber defenses on the LOS. Coach Saban screaming at G-Mac, to throw the ball was a very common occurrence. Face it, dude, he was the worst QB of the Coach Saban era and he singlehandedly cost Julio any chance of ever being in the College HOF.

I will enlighten you. Yes, 100% of them hold out on their "contract" any time it is financially advantageous to do so if they have a good "agent" (lawyer). The same damn way a coach signs a 10 year "contract" with Bum frick State, and is coaching a bigger school the next year. There are no "contracts" in professional sports

This board comes up with several dollar amounts that they think Auburn paid Newton. All with no evidence at all.
The gift that will keep giving forever.

Was he on the Falcons during the Super Bowl collapse?

He was the best WR money could buy in 2008. Leave it to an Auburn man to show no class, when everyone else is honoring Julio's legacy
