He took over a program clearly better than their conference and made them average. Hero.

6 year 24 million or 7 year contract depends on NCAA sanctions. UT is fricked again.

The issue is 12-1 -> 10-3 -> 6-4. If it were reversed you may be on to something.
General consensus is that CJH did well with Frost’s players but couldn’t recruit new talent. I believe UT hired him because no one else would take the job. White basically said so in his presser if you read between the lines.

Pruitt wasn't fired for football reasons. He should've been but he wasn't.

But this is probably the best hire since Kiffin
Kiffin is a better coach. This dude has regressed every year since taking ovee. I think he knows he sucks and took this job to cash out. He definitely left UCF in a worse shape than when he got there.
What an awful hire.

Pruitt was fired for performance. The violations are just a way out of paying that dumb contract Fat Phil gave him.

He was fired for cause because Fulmer was adamant about giving him another year because of COVID. It wasn't about Pruitt's buyout. It was about the Haslams making a powerplay for complete control of the program which they were always going to make after losing that control last cycle. They hate Fulmer and wanted him gone and this was the only way they had of doing it because Fulmer was never going to make the next hire. He was temporary, just not temporary enough for Jimmy.

He sucks donkey dick, should have just hired Steele

You also can’t seriously tell me he’s going to recruit at Butch or Pruitt levels. We will have the talent level of Kentucky, South Carolina and Mississippi State. I expect Lane Kiffin to raid Tennessee over the next few season.
Have you looked at his recruiting rankings? Even in the aac he was slipping.

I'm not a fan but I don't think Steele would've been better. Heupel at least has a winning record and we actually haven't hired many of those since Fulmer was fired. I believe Butch was the only one.

I don't have a clue how good/bad he will be...
But the dude looks like an aborted pimple...

In fairness, our conference coaches look like they came from a 'people of walmart' page. He fits in with the lot of them.
