I really think Simpson missed him, and it looks as if he is good to go for this evening's game. Although there were several factors contributing to Alabama's offensive challenges recently, I believe the loss of Cuevas was the biggest blow. If he's 100%, I feel much better about Bama's chances. Anyone think the same?

Don’t know how much of a chance we have with him but I know how much of a chance without him. BTW TE1 and TE2 have been out. That’s what makes it so bad.

Yes.
He's our possession receiver, a critical blocker, and most of our concepts run through the TE position (even as a primary check-down).
This week the OC reiterated that he is "critical for our offense."

He lead in receiving yards against Oklahoma the first time.
I hope he is back 100%.

At least you guys have a tight end. We haven't had one of those since Mark Andrews. I love Kanak, dude has the heart of a champion but he's a converted LB and not a threat to anyone

R Mason Thomas did not play for OU in the first game. Hoping he off sets Cuevas.

They're saying Cuevas will play 20-25 snaps tonight.

With that experience, I think Venables will have the D dialed in and have a death grip on the nutsack of 'Bamas O.
Also feel our O has the advantage in this wind.
OU 27 Bama 10

Just need 5-7 catches from him. Nothing crazy. Don’t need him to block.

Having Danny Lewis back for certain packages will be nice.

He’s the sneaky guy I love having back. True blocking TE.

He is the only thing that worries me tonight. He is a game changer.

He somehow finds a way to get open. I think this will be a great game. Can’t wait to see it.

He almost single handedly kept Bama in the game and they were STILL leaving him wide arse open and Ty could’ve kept going to him. Edwards made a big play or two as well. My understanding is that Cuevos is playing but might be on a “pitch count”. I do think that both Edwards and Cuevos could continue to gash the OU defense so we need to be smart and take what they give us. If then they decide to put some more bodies one the TEs we should get some WRs in a better position.
I honestly think if the line can do their job we could just send out more elite pass catchers, TE, WR, or even an occasional RB screen than they can defend. Ty has to not force the ball, our receivers need to not get distracted and make bone headed drops, and for the love of God we need to hold on to the ball this time!!!

Me too. Here's to a hard fought , injury free game where the refs let 'Em play.

Not really…OU still left him open, Ty just went away from that as much and a lot of it was because he was running for his life.
