He has every right to be pissed. Pete Boone and his son tried to do that to Powe after he was outspoken and against what they were doing.

Vanderbilt is retarted, I work in the TCU athletic department and see former players come into work out every day and use our fields
I'm gonna take a different angle than everyone else. First off, the indoor facility is NOT part of the athletic department. It's part of the student rec center, as stated already. The football team just gets priority access.

That's pathetic. Step up your game Vandy.

It's still a really nice facility. Students just get to use it when the football team isn't. It's how you have to get things done when your administration is still not sold on this whole sports thing.

He's doing damage control and removed the controversial tweets. You should have quoted them here.

He must have deleted the offending tweets?

There is a lot better way to go about this than going off on Twitter and insulting Vanderbilt by saying it will always be a second tier program.
He deleted the offending tweets but he was still right. How else will things change unless the administration is publicly put on the spot? They're acting like athletic alumni need to move on after they've served their purpose of distracting everyone from the real business of taking rich parents' money.

Not a big deal. He's not going to the NFL.

It's not quite true. He's welcome to the athletic facilities like any other former player at any other school. The issue is completely based on the fact that the indoor is run by the student rec center, not the football team. I'm sure it will be handled shortly, regardless of his Twitter tirade.
