Lawrence when facing the pressure of having to score in the Natty against LSU did what a lot of us had been saying. He isn’t super accurate. When he had to be he couldn’t do it. He panicked, fumbled and threw crazy passes.
Our bad loss in the Natty was simple, 5 trips to the red zone, 0 points.

You know, a guy can just be a good player.

Exactly, but in this case Jones is so much better than Lawrence. Jones's pocket awareness, stronger arm, and regular man hair puts him over Lawrence all day long.

Where do people get this notion he’s such an awesome all world QB? I’m not arguing Jones is his superior but in the Alabama game a lot of his touchdowns and big plays were his receivers making our 2’ 2” corners look like FCS players. Was even more apparent in the 2nd national championship when he played the first decent defense in his entire career.
He’s got all the measurables. Probably the mental makeup too. But he’s had some terrible games that I feel people have overlooked because....I don’t know, NFL scouts?
