He has taken hits and gotten back up and played hard. Tougher kid then many give credit, especially for a freshman his size.
I give him credit for being tough and fearless to this point.

For his age and experience, he plays with a lot of confidence and mental toughness.
Now, are you Aggies happy?

I thought the same thing. I was just wondering with the knock out punch was coming.

And then he beat the crap out of Auburn the week after. The guy is clearly tougher than what everyone thought.

Yea, and he coincedentally had 27 yards rushing the whole game even though he leads the SEC in rushing.
That's all I was trying to say earlier in the thread. I don't have an issue with calling him tough because clearly he is. I'm just saying he isn't immune to letting a physical defense affecting his play, we've already seen it this year and likely will again Saturday.

Here's where I disagree--the defensive scheme LSU ran affected his play, NOT their physicality. I'm not denying JFF's effectiveness waned over the course of the game, but the roughness of the tackling was hardly the reason for his paltry production, you see where I'm coming from?

Meh. Can he get hurt? Sure, all QB's can get hurt. I don't think he is any more likely than other QB's though and probably less so. QB's usually get hurt when they get blindsided standing in the pocket. That doesn't happen to Manziel very often. When a player who is running with the ball gets hit while prepared for contact they usually are going to be fine. It's that blindside hit that is unexpected is when players get bent in ways that cause injuries.
Are there exceptions? Sure. Football is a physical game. Still, the fear is when a player is hit when they are unprepared for the hit because that is when they are most vulnerable. Manziel has also gotten smarter about trying to go mano y manu with LB's, he is sliding and going out of bounds a lot more now.

Linebackers and safetys. Sooner or later someone will catch him unaware and knock his dick into the dirt.
It will happen. :rimshot:

Obviously he needs to slide and avoid hits, but that would make his cat quick cuts and fakes ineffective. He has to take the hits to keep on being the one who bitch slaps Chuck Norris.

I hate that Mark Barron is now in the league.

This is just ignorant.
JM reminds me of that McGee kid y'all had. You're just waiting for him to get broken in half but he just keeps getting up.
I hope JM stays healthy this weekend, but I also hope we clobber the shite out of him all day.

He got popped on the last play of yalls game against LSU. I don't think him taking hits like that will ever really be the norm thanks to his shiftiness as other people have stated, but all it really takes is one.

I think that was Swopes, a WR
