I thought the same thing, but Eddie wasn't being a fricktard. No need to pile on.

While I agree that the media is going to make a bonfire out of a pilot light at every turn when it comes to JFF, he has made some really bad decisions that has thrown vodka onto the fire. He can't have the same life he once had. It's the price he has to pay for being famous, but the perks are plentiful.

He was pretty damn happy about the media being on his heels everywhere he went when it was building him up. Now he wants them to back off because they are doing what they do and telling people about the shite he's doing.

Has he not seen what happens to every other celebrity? He should have been telling them to leave him alone earlier on. He's really brought this stuff upon himself in every way.

He's in his early 20s.

I know I have learned a lot since I was 21, and that was only three years ago. If he stops playing football and goes on coke benders with Bieber and Amanda Bynes than sure...he's probably a lost cause. He's in a structured environment though, he has plenty of time to learn those lessons.

JFF is not old enough to be "wise." You and I can see what the media will do to other people because we have matured enough to learn from other people's mistakes. Young fricks have to learn by experience most of the time, so I do have to give him a slight break, but I agree with Eddie. He needs to show that he has learned and knock it off.

Learn by making your own mistakes = Education
Learn by watching others frick up = Wisdom

Johnny will make more mistakes, but he needs to understand that this is just the way it will be. Lots a fame has a two edge sword and he must be ready for both sides of that. I am sure he is learning it as he goes, but it won't stop once he goes pro. Other than being paid for all the hassle and praise..

So it is worth a week of wall to wall Sportscenter coverage for a 20 year old oversleeping? Maybe he was hungover, maybe he wasn't. Who really cares? It's a freaking voluntary camp he attended in the offseason. No one was arrested. No one was hurt. He just overslept and was sent home/agreed to go home. I know when was 20 I did a lot of dumber things. Is it newsworthy? I guess, but to say it should be the biggest story of SEC Media Days is crazy and it clearly is.

BTW, I'm pretty sure the Mannings don't want Manziel to talk about it if he was drinking either. They likely don't want to promote that they had events where they allowed minors to drink alcohol at their camp or that they promoted it in some way. That is why Manziel won't admit to drinking, it would A) be admitting to a minor criminal offense and B) be embarrassing to the Mannings whom he clearly respects. The way this story has gone the next thing will be investigative reports on "what goes on at QB camps behind the scenes!"
