Not to people that don't try to interject race into everything....
Posted on 1/17/21 at 10:08 am to lewis and herschel
Fromm is the one who injected race into the gun control argument.

It certainly wasn't because he was ever able to muster a TD in the 4th quarter vs BAMA. Ever.
Bit odd trashing a QB who went for 300+ and 3 TD’s last time he played you.

Did he win that NC game? Did he win that SECCG? This seems to be the great divide between the Crimson Tide and Dawgs football program historically speaking. Did you win anything?
Jake Fromm - HELL to the NO!!

Johnny beat Bama. Fromm got raped by Bama.

Was his play the reason his team lost? Was he the only player on the field? Having a good individual performance and losing aren’t mutually exclusive. You’re either being purposefully dense or extremely narrow minded.

Jake Fromm should have looked just like Jalen Hurt's marching the Tide down the field in that 4th quarter on the last 2 possessions. No such drama with Fromm. The dawgs were left running a punt-sneek by the great Justin Fields on 4th and 11, which literally set up Jalen and the Tide at midfield for the go-ahead TD. 4th and 11, how did that happen when Fromm and Georgia needed it most?
Winners and losers, they have a name.

And as Johnny Football never got to a national title game, he is a loser.

The guy who came in with fresh legs in the second half? Their games are totally different...

It’s an understandable call when your defense is obviously tired and no longer getting stops. If you don’t think your defense has another stop in them then you should absolutely go for it, though Smart or someone should’ve called a timeout and just ran an actual play when they saw bama wasn’t fooled.

how did that happen
Fromm wasn’t playing defense and allowing Hurts to run around. Do you think he should’ve subbed in at linebacker?

Winners and losers
What does this have to do with individual performance? You realize it’s possible to have a good performance and still lose, right? And what does any of this have to do with Fromm’s performance against bama? Bottom line, do you think 300+ yards, 3 touchdowns, and 0 int’s is a good stat line for a QB? If you do, then Fromm had a good performance. If you don’t, then he didn’t.

The guy that came in was POY in the SEC. He finished second in the Heisman. Fromm, not so much.

The question was and is: Why did it come to 4th and 11? Because Fromm and Kirby were not good enough, again.

Which is really cool in little league baseball. Up here you get to watch the confetti drop from the ceiling and rinse and repeat the bulldog football fortunes for another season.

Feel free to continue to move the goalposts. It’s telling that you’re refusing to answer my question. Never change bama fans.

Did your team win? That's moving the goalpost? Lots of guys get stats vs Bama. (See Matt Corral and Trask)
I bet 1980 seems like yesterday?

The subject is individual performances. Why are you unable to stick to it?

Yes. Saying individual performances don’t matter but team ones do in a discussion about individual performances is moving the goal posts.

We’re talking about one. I’ll ask the question you refuse to answer again. Is 300+ yards, 3 touchdowns, and 0 int’s a good stat line for a QB?

Original, but again not what we’re talking about. Maybe one day you’ll be able to have a discussion, but it appears today is not that day.

Depends.. Will the refs be swallowing their whistles when they see egregious horse collar tackles?

Both Matt Corral and Kyle Trask had much better offensive performances against Bama than Jake Fromm. Why can't you seem to keep up?
However, unlike the other 2, Jake Fromm had a hell of a lot more talent around him to continue to get shutout and shutdown by Bama in those 4th quarters. You know, the quarter that matters most.

Why do you keep insisting on getting off topic? Is 300+ yards, 3 touchdowns, and 0 int a good state line for a QB? Yes or no

Ok... let’s talk about all 4 quarters since that’s one game.

Not Jake Fromm. Just not a great QB to go win it all.
JF at the college level for sure. Best backyard football player ever. Most teams that get in are great technique/process teams. I'd take my chances with backyard QB over a team like this. Who knows? We just might win it.

Judging an individual by team accomplishments is one of the stupidest interwebs/sports fan discussions ever. As soon as I hear, "muh titles!" enter the conversation I just know I can ignore anything else sports-related that person has to say.
