What Coach K has done in the past thirty years is more impressive than anything Wooden's accomplished. Coach K had to contend with much more stiff competition with the ACC, 64+ team tourney fields instead of 23 or 25, players leaving after one or two years instead of being forced to stay all four and he actually did all of this while running a squeaky clean program.

Easily John Wooden. I love Bear Bryant but Wooden's run of domination was far greater than Bryant's. In my opinion, Wooden is the greatest coach of all-time.

I backed up my opinion with facts. Why don't you learn how to do the same?

Excellent. We both agree he is an idiot. I already thought that, but this certainly adds to it

You want a fact. Your SN is suggesting the benching of a QB that just won you a National title. In favor of who? Star Jackson?

ETA: This make you an idiot.

I'm an idiot for backing up my opinion with facts and reasoning. It's funny how the people that insult me rarely give specific details on why I am always so wrong. It's always some lazy, one-line insult.

How many Alabama games did you watch this season? You probably only saw a couple games and some highlights every now and then. I actually watched 12 games live in their entirety and the two others later on. I've seen McElroy play and he's not a good QB.

What part of my statement was false? About the Snead McElroy trade?

You are trying to downgrade what Wooden accomplished. He may have cheated in some way, but so did every coach in almost every sport back then. Even Coach Bryant wasn't clean. Wasn't as bad as rivals like to pretend he was, but EVERYONE cheated back then. Maybe Wooden didn't face extremely tough competition back then, Coach Bryant didn't always either. Times have changed. Sports are tougher now. The coaches that know how to take advantage of opportunities are the ones that win. Coach Bryant and Wooden both did that. Show some fricking respect for what the man did and how he influenced the sport(sames goes for those that do the same shite regarding Coach Bryant)

The 2008 version of Jevan Snead when he had a great supporting cast and had his head on straight was absolutely terrific. I would take that guy over McElroy every day of the week.

Wooden and there really is not much debate. He won in a playoff system to get his titles. Bryant was a great football coach but still it did not equal winning all those titles in a playoff system.

Wooden.

Also, I hate to say this but I almost agree with him about Coach K.... It is amazing what he has done in this era.

Wooden, not only because of what he accomplished, but also because of the type of person he was.

The man sat down every night after his wife passed, and wrote a letter to her and put it on her pillow on her side of the bed every night.

I hope when I get older, I'm a quarter of the man John Wooden was.

I like the Bear as much as anybody, but should this even be a debate. No one is even close to touching Wooden in college coaching greatness.
