No chance OM and State are put in the same region like this lol

Meh. At 7 and 8 they couldn't meet until the regional finals anyway and historically speaking that's what I'd classify as "unexpected."

#10 - LSU
Lsu being anything lower than a 4 seed seems retarded

Summer, you are logical, hear me out. This is honestly a non-homer take

We are defending SEC champs and a sweet 16 team

We return our 3rd,4th, and 5th leading scorers

We return our entire bench, and we added the 17th ranked player in the nation

That is alot returning for college basketball. Going from a 4 seed this year to a 10 next year doesnt make much sense

You can make an argument for sure about being better than a 10 seed but to say it is retarded to have anything lower than a 4 seed is well.....special.

We were a clear top 16 team last year

I have trouble believing there are 16 teams that added more/lost less than us from the previous year

I dont think much thought went into this for ole joe

Yea I think #10 is too low. Like somebody posted here or in Gators thread, people have all the Wade/money/FBI/NCAA stuff in their head along with everyone "declaring" (and 2-3 coming back from that) and it is effecting the way they look at this LSU team.

The current LSU roster, to me, is a #4-#6 type seed, SEC contender and Top 20-30 team. I don't think it's crazy to put them somewhere between #5-8, but a #10 seed is definitely at the very low point of preseason expectations IMHO. Losing Waters was a hit, though. It's hard to replace some of the stuff he brought to the table.

Eh, like I said you can make an argument for that. I just don't think it would be retarded to say they are only a top 20 team or a top 25 team.

If I was putting together my mock SEC NCAAT expectations as of June 27th I'd probably go..........

Kentucky - #2 seed
Florida - #3 seed
LSU - #6 seed
Auburn - #7 seed
Mississippi St - #7 seed
Tennessee - #10 seed
Ole Miss - Play In

Alabama - First Four Out
South Carolina - First Four Out
Arkansas - Next Four Out
Georgia - Next Four Out

Missouri - N/A
Texas A&M - N/A
Vanderbilt - N/A

Just stay away from Norfolk State IMHO IYAM

Unless you need a hail mary to get your coach fired, then DEFINITELY play Norfolk State.

He certainly helped get LSU to the Sweet 16, but Wade didn't. For the tourney next year, LSU may lose Reid and Waters, but they get their coach back* - and a top-20 freshman in Watford.

Yea, should be a good team. I do think it'll be interesting to see how they replace their closer, though. Won a lot of games with Waters making plays in the last 90 seconds the last 2 seasons.

Smart seems to have a little bit of that ability.

Maybe those games wouldn't have been so close without his turnovers.

The guy is fun to watch, but a little sloppy with the ball sometimes. I'd like to see his number of steals after a turnover, though. I bet it's up there.

VOLS roster is bubblicious. shite tier job by Prick on the trail.

Best case scenario is Bowden and Turner carry the load to the tourney and Josiah has a good year but comes back. Need to get some big steps forward from the young guys.

Should be well positioned to be a real contender the next year if the young guys take big step forward.
