What if they represented them in exchange for them signing with that firm?

If he didn't pay for the representation then that would be a violation.

Yep. The attorney mainly does injury and car wreck cases, but he's also a sports agent. He got Mingo a 16 million dollar deal.

let's say this is 100% what happened
how do you prove it?
again you'll have to prove that a player was only getting this legal representation for promises of future business and if you can't prove it you are coming down on a student for defending himself against possible charges
they would never touch it

Proof doesn't apply when it concerns Alabama. I mean did they have proof that they had weed and a stolen gun? See how that turned out?

quote:Exactly! One of y'all can surely get a transaction receipt of payment made to the atty. There has to be a paper trail and if not then get the NCAA on the case.

I'm sorry that the city in your state decided it would rather see one of it's own go on to make a lot of money, but that doesn't have anything to do with us.
You want to connect the dots to some dark Alabama conspiracy within Monroe, Louisiana have fun being crazy
Also, the frick does that have to do with the NCAA looking into a lawyer that represented a couple of football players?

quote:They had proof that there was weed and a stolen gun in a car with 4 passengers. Apparently your Louisiana DA reviewed the charges and deemed the evidence insufficient to prosecute. WTF should we Bammer fans do, act disappointed, angry, enraged of the outcome?

quote:.... Me crazy well, I actually may have heard from an almost reliable source that "Sweaty" Cam's attorney met the DA on a grassy knoll after hours at Forsythe Park and they cut this deal; winks and handshakes were exchanged. Furthermore, this same source said Coach Saban was on the phone processing the whole thing.... How is that for a conspiracy?

What if they didn't'? What if they were selected b/c their firm has the best reputation for success in Monroe, LA?

Attorney client privilege will prevent you or NCAA from likely ever knowing what they paid for the representation.

I talked with a guy who used to coach Cam and he said he'd bet his mortgage that a deal was made where if Joe got them off then they would sign with Jeff when they decided to go pro. It would be hard to prove but it is probably likely if he signs with Jeff. He just declared but I can't find who he signed with.
