Not really. My only point was it’s a little unfair to compare career stats between careers of completely different lengths

While your at it, go compare McCarrons's stats to John Elway, Dan Marino and Brett Favre's college stats and you'll start asking yourself why AJ isn't bound for Canton. My grandmother could have been All-SEC behind some of those dominate offensive lines.

Since AJ played later than these guys his stats will be better because the game has changed, I get it. But Joe has played later than AJ, and I should just ignore the changes in the game over the last few years? I never said AJ was better than anybody. I am saying his career college stats are better than Joe's because unlike Joe he was good enough to start at the school he chose. If Joe's college career is any indication of his pro career, then Joe will likely have a slow nfl start.

When comparing the two as starting QBs, they aren't.

LINK in case you missed it...

He was beat out by an upperclassmen in JT Barrett both years (2016 & 2017). Then was beat out by the 15th overall pick in the 2019 NFL draft. No shame in that, as he could potentially match that same draft position this year.

The 2011 Alabama QB battle was between sophomore AJ McCarron and two freshmen... no?

Why are you being purposefully obtuse?

Alabama fans continually prove themselves to be the least knowledgeable football fans in the league.

He is nothing like Coker.

Have you actually watched him play this season?

Burrow does have a championship ring with OSU

Did he steal it from one of his teammates when he got to Columbus? Because, since Burrow spent the 2014 season playing for Athens High School, that's the only way he would have gotten a championship ring at Ohio State.

Enlighten us, genius. Burrow was a senior in high school in 2014. He was on campus in Columbus for 2015, 2016, and 2017.

Which of those years did he get a ring at Ohio State?

Jesus....he's your fricking QB, and you don't know him any better than this?

And oh, by the way... he lost that HS championship game in 2014.

What a fricking moron. You have to rely on a Bama fan to school you on your own QB's bio.

How many times did Coker take a hit like this, get off the turf and throw for 394 yards and 4 TDs

Like I said...he stole it from an upperclassman when he got to Columbus.

At least two LSU fans ITT who are utterly clueless fricks.

LC412000 and LSUNV should have to turn in their fan cards and be banned from the Tiger Rant. I mean to be schooled on Burrow's bio from a Bama fan? Gotta be pretty humiliating.

edit: at the downvote. Come on, dumbass. Don't just downvote. Tell us what year he got that ring.

And your point was taken. My point is that A.J.'s stats compare much more favorably than I thought they would when you consider the style of offenses. A.J. playing in one similar to the one Joe played in last year. The most surprising thing to me was AJ's career completion percentage being slightly higher's than Joe's. Starting, not starting, how many years they played, matter not. That is simply completed passes vs imcompletions. I stand my previous comment that Joe struggles under center and thrives in the shotgun. If he is to be a nfl qb, then a team that is drafting him must design the offense around his strengths and consider his weaknesses. He will be not be able to beat out other nfl qb's if they want him to play under center a lot. It will be like Ohio State in this case.

Joe Burrow Senior Stats (7 Games):

To be fair about it...
