Well it's true though. Urban meyer, tom herman and joe's "dream school" made him who he is. Whiteboots and lsu were just lucky enough to reap the benefits. That sorta thing happens sometimes.

Don't you have a chote to languish over??? Get to it ya big fruit.

I don’t post much. With that being said, that was the classiest speech I’ve ever seen for the Heisman.

agreed!

Most of this shite is canned but he was truly speaking from the heart.

Most people outside of LA don't realize the amount of love shown by the LSU fanbase to Joe and his family. They've been treated like royalty and rightly so.

I think most of the recent winners have shown true class on and off the field. Most, not all.

I never say stuff like this but freak off you a-hole. You are one pain in the asp . You are a fan of no one. Not one SEC team gets positive feedback from you. All you do is turn fanbase againsrpt fanbase here. So here this buds for you

I have to agree. He and Joe are the kind of guys that you want leading a football team.

The lsu fanbase should step up and thank urban meyer and the Ohio state Buckeyes football program. They did a really good job making him the quarterback he is now.

Hear, hear urban. You're a true maste

Fudge Packer, I mean, Pandy Fackler strikes again. Hope you don't drown in your tears tonight.

Uhh.. no.

Respect is never earned by what’s done playing a game, or it shouldn’t be.

It’s how you act in life with others on a personal level that does that.

And he absolutely did that tonight. Coach O, as well through him.

Too bad your fan base sucks and I won’t cheer for y’all.

Today bitterness and revenge is celebrated and encouraged.
What an awesome life lesson Joe reminded the sports world to always stay humble and kind! The best speech I've heard from a Heisman winner in too long of time. Congrats Joe and LSU Nation! As a Buckeye fan, I've been cheering for Joe the whole time and will continue to do so until he plays against Ohio State. That will be the only time I don't. This Buckeye fan is proud of his success! Not just because he is an Ohio State graduate but because he is a great guy and tough as nails QB.

On what basis do you conclude that a fan base sucks? I trust it isn’t because of a fan board and small percentage of over-exuberant fans who post sometimes obnoxious comments on a fan site. Every fan base has that. I don’t make my decisions about fan bases on what is posted on this site. If I did, I probably would conclude that every fan base for every team sucks. I think you would find most LSU fans normal, respectable people who are like most fans of other teams. They love their team and school, and they treat fans of other schools respectfully in real life.

Personally, I don’t care whether you cheer for LSU, nor does anyone else. But I think LSU fans are a pretty great bunch. I know quite a lot of them. Maybe that is why Burrow is proud to be a Tiger and expressed his gratitude to the fans, the university and state.

Geaux Tigers, and as a former coach of LSU once said famously, “Have a great day.”

Was sitting around watching with the kids and grandkids last night .... the womenfolk had some sniffling and tears going on. The menfolk, we all agreed the kid is a pure-tee stud.

Thought I overheard Eddie George or Marcus Allen one say it best to him afterwards, "you're speech was better than your season" .... he meant it as the utmost compliment.

Lousiana has a new adopted son and SE Ohio is okay with that because the kid's heart appears big enough to go around.

What a heckuva year that young man is having. Dream worthy stuff. Just amazing.
