"I want to clarify something, and I want everybody to hear this: I had nothing to do with the coaching search at Tennessee. Nothing," Haslam said. "I know there's all reports that I was tremendously involved. I'm a huge backer and supporter of the University of Tennessee, as is our entire family. I was not involved in the coaching search at UT. Very delighted with the outcome. Have not met coach Pruitt, but coach Fulmer — a good friend of mine — and (UT booster) Charlie Anderson both speak very highly of him.

"We're glad to have him at the university, but I was not involved in that search."

He also has a wonderful rebate program that he’d be happy to sign you up for.

that this guy expects us to believe that

and i don't even totally blame him. If i were super rich you'd bet your arse i'd be in there as a part of the process. Mr. University prez do you want your new library or not? AD do you want a new nutrition center or not? Well lets talk about who the football coach is going to be.

LOL plausible deniability i.e. blame shifting despite the fact that he called Tennessee state legislators subsequent to their tweets regarding the Schiano hire. This man is the representation of arguably the worst-run professional franchise in sports, cheers.

He’s basically the Jews and Vol fans are Muslims. Anything that happens bad to them is because of the Haslams.

He's a lying sack of shite. That process had "Cleveland Browns frick up" all over it. He is a huge problem at Tennessee. If Fulmer really stood up to him, then my hats off to him, and that's the first step in turning things around.
