After he covered up rape so that his QB could play in the game.

FSU settled with the QB’s victim for ~1 million dollars shortly after.

No one knew it at the time, but Jimbo was the biggest beneficiary of the kick six. The dollars he made off it…damn.

So true. Jameis was outstanding and no question should've won the Heisman in a landslide like he did, but that FSU team would have no shot against Alabama going for a three-peat that year.

Jimbo had to be carried by his own athletes that game. A kick return TD and crazy heroics by his Heisman QB saved his arse.

And it helped him con a school notorious for making terrible business decisions out of $100+ million

Jameis.

I believe most people thought Jameis was going to play baseball, but I was shocked when he opted for football. Jimbo has lived off of that for almost a decade.

Jimbo had to let things like rape and theft slide, so he sold out.

Yep.

Auburn has to be the first team in FBS history to make a national championship after losing a conference game by 2 TDs in the same season.

That was one of Alabama’s worst teams in awhile that year. Same as the following year. FSU would have beaten them

A Heisman at QB plus 25 others who would go on to play professionally. He also had Jeremy Pruitt who was great as a defensive coordinator. And as always, you need a little luck as well

Based on the recruiting classes jimbo has had at aggot, I’d say he has as good a talent if not better than he did at fsu.

Personally I think it’s Aggie being Aggie. Different coaches and players, same ole aggot.

Not saying that Alabama didn't have a good team that year, but they couldn't beat Oklahoma si what make you think they was going to Fsu.

Fsu was loaded that year. All 22 starters played in the NFL. I don't know if a championship team ever had all 22 starters play in the NFL. Jameis was great but that team was more than him. It was a complete team.
