A bowl invite? We all saw that crowd at the UMass game. A 5 win aggy team that is a walking disaster is not getting a bowl invite. Not to mention LSU is going to beat them senseless.

Jimbo was a herculean mistake by aggy. It's glorious to watch.

I'm sorry sir, but I have no choice but to report you to the Texas A&M Anti-Defamation Algorithm

I’m not sure how excited I’d be to see A&M in a bowl this year. It’d be a nothing bowl against a lame opponent that would probably beat us, and whatever is left of our roster would probably opt out.

Granted we were 6-6 but coming from an LSU fan you really got to see what guys on your team were all in. It was fun for the guys who did play

That would be an extra game he would have to work for that money. Why do that when he’s getting paid regardless?

Gumbo thinks the future is bright? I havent seen one bright spot on his offensive side of football at A@M since Trevor Knight was there and he was a former Sooner!

He needs to hire someone who knows what the frick they are doing on offense because right now no elite qbs will come to a school like A@M.

I think it's a loser mentality not to want to play in a bowl game.

It is, but I can agree with his thought process.

They'd most likely get a horrible no-name bowl against a shitty opponent, and nothing to really gain. If they win, so what? They beat a 6-6 or slightly better no name opponent. If they lose? Damn that looks even worse.

Then he knows he'll most likely have a ton of opt-outs and players hitting the portal, not playing in the game. The roster would be down to 2nd and 3rd stringers on a team that already wasn't great to begin with. They probably lose any bowl game and end their season on a down note, opposed to ending it by hypothetically beating LSU.

Plus if I were their coach and I was trying to instill a new winning attitude and disciplined culture, I wouldn't want to reward my team for going 5-7. I'd want them to feel the full pain and embarrassment of failure, not give them an out to feel like 5-7 is good enough in ANY way.

Jimbo outright saying he didn’t want the extra bowl practices to get ready for next year is similar in its idiocy to Mike Brown (Bengals owner) saying a few years ago that he didn’t want any home games late in the season because of cold weather.
