I semi agree with you.
He was hired to be elite AND to earn a huge paycheck.
He’ll be in College Station for years; that’s the deal.

Jimbo is as elite as Chizik. One QB made him look good and he looked like Garbage without him. The only differences is Winston stayed more than one year and wasn't playing in the sec west.

Hmmmm....since LSU fired Les Miles in 2016 and Coach Eaux took over he is 31-9. Jimbo Fisher is 17-13 since the start of the 2017 season. Understand that.

One day Jimbo will sit back at his pool, light up a cigar, laugh and think: What a bunch of losers paying me $75 million after I trashed FSU’s program.

So if ATM goes out and hires an openly gay coach with a little brother complex they will have the perfect coach?

Not sure how much of the bad & undisciplined is a carry over reflection of Sumlin's players, but I've seen enough to believe it's still rinse & repeat in College Station.

Bordered by LSU, OU & second fiddle in state, A&M is a very distant 4th option not considering 3-4 other programs that step in & cherry pick over their heads.

Having a guy like Jimbo who stubbornly runs a dinosaur style program under a long term guaranteed contract is a disaster in the works.

The hillbilly rich alumni & Barney Fife leadership will come in pitch forks high @ some point & the marriage/household is going to be trailer park sitcom worthy.

Winners win & losers lose... not hard to see where the Cuck & Clowns are headed.

He’s not playing in the ACC anymore. He must have a Heisman QB to be effective. He also is at a place where they worship him. He has not seat to even get hot.

If I were an A&M fan (lawl), looking at the utter wreckage he left at FSU would make me very, very nervous

Sumlin had 11 games against ranked opponents in his first two seasons. He won 5 of those, and in his 6 losses, he lost one by more than a TD.

Now how did Sumlin do without Manziel against ranked opponents? Here's a hint:

at #9 South Carolina (finished unranked): Win
at #12 Mississippi State: Blowout Loss
#3 Ole Miss: Blowout Loss
at #7 Alabama: 59-0 loss
at #3 Auburn: Win
#16 Arizona State (finished unranked): Win
#21 Mississippi State: Win
#9 Alabama: Blowout Loss
at #23 Ole Miss: Blowout Loss
#16 UCLA (finished unranked): Overtime Win
#17 Arkansas (finished unranked): Win
#9 Tennessee: Overtime Win
at #1 Alabama: Blowout Loss
#1 Alabama: Loss
#15 Auburn: Blowout Loss
at #19 LSU: Blowout Loss

That's a 7-9 record with 8 out of those 9 losses being by 2 touchdowns or more. Take out the ranked opponents that finished the season unranked and that record drops to 3-9.

Why aren't you using final rankings?

He never was. He rode a generational talent at QB through a weak arse P5 conference and has been living off that since.

Take out the years with crab legs and he's a mid tier coach.

Exactly. His last 2-3 years at FSU were hardly elite. He’s just not a really good coach. His teams are typically sloppy and lack discipline.

Not seeing much different now that he’s at aggieland

I'm not using final rankings because the shitposter I was responding to didn't.

He cited a 5-6 vs. ranked opponents during Sumlin's first two seasons, whereas Fisher is 3-6 through 1.5 seasons.

Fisher without Winston: 68-29. Assuming a 7-5 record this season with a bowl win, that's 76-31. That's an average of 9.5 wins and 4 losses.
