Needs to just focus on beating OSU.

“If you want to make Michigan great, and make yourself great, this is a great place to be,” Harbaugh says in the book. “The ones you have to oversell what we have to offer, you know it’s not going to work. If you don’t get the appeal of the program, of a Michigan education, of the kind of camaraderie you get working with like-minded people – well, I don’t know what to tell you. You’ll probably be happier somewhere else – and maybe we will be, too!”
I'm a little confused... in one hand he complains that other teams cheat and in the other he claims that if you don't like what Michigan has to offer you're better off elsewhere... Which is it? Is cheating the issue or people not buying into the UM education with "like minded people"?

Weird with SEC transfer QB

Well sadly he's not wrong and Michigan has been irrelevant for a long time now. I think OSU is the school that he really has the beef with because they cheat as good as Auburn and Texas AM

Harbaugh is correct that SEC "plays a different game" than others, but two things also need to be considered:
- The "games" being played are almost exclusively with recruits from SEC region... They aren't rolling into the midwest & east coast and ruining the market.
- A program can be built at a championship level recruiting traditional student athletes vs "guns for hire", granted it's challenging, but it's very doable.

Yes, the SEC is doing that every year.

He is being such a little excuse making bitch. Disappointed in him.

Maybe he should try to beat Ohio state just once and it’s not like Michigan doesn’t have top ten classes

Nope. IMG Trey Sanders for example.

Harbaugh & staff have to do a better job with national recruiting. Not every high 4* & 5* are "play 4 pay" recruits... if they can't field the right squad with "our kinda kid", they aren't working hard or smart enough.

I think if Harbaugh had stayed at Stanford he could have gotten then to the playoffs a time or two. Oh well.

If so it's because of the competition/road to the CFP.
Outside of that I'd think Michigan has the better route, they can get kids in that Stanford can't/won't.

Not for the system he was building at Stanford. He would have continued to get top quarterbacks and offensive linemen and tight ends.
If he does that, and wins a Rose Bowl or two like Shaw has, he's able to win the Michigan v. Stanford recruiting battles. I think he turns his weirdness into a strength at Stanford, where he is not under the same pressure and microscope.

I actually agree. He had Stanford in a really good spot and it would have coincided with a dip in performance for a good chunk of the Pac12. I think a minimum of 1 playoff appearance would have happened...

Dude is trying to salvage his career and making excuses for his complete failure.
It's pathetic.

He's just mad that the amazing quarterback he nabbed from the sec turned out to be a bust for him and he's gotta bring in someone else to take over.
You say this as though Ole Miss fans wouldn't give their left nut right now to have Shae Shae still under center in Oxford.

I'm choosing my nuts over Shae Patterson 100% of the time
