all of this jeff lee "information" is just a bunch of little pissy, ticky tacky stuff that goes in all college football obsessed states.
in the state of alabama, a very, very large percentage of family friends, coaches, the families themselves have some kind of allegiance to either alabama or auburn.
in this instance, we have a kid whose adoptive parents had a friend (read somewhere that peaches and d.w. had known each other for 20 years?)who drove him to alabama football games and maybe to the beach for a weekend. some mentioned that it is creepy that a 50 year old man would take a kid on trips. yeah, except that he is a family friend, not some guy from the parking lot of the magic market. oh, and omg, calloway and this family friend had known each other since bc was in 8th grade. pretty shady doings, there...
then, we have b.c.'s high school coach, who happens to be an auburn graduate. and, strangely, after a year's committment to alabama, brent switches to auburn. we can spin all of that to sound shady too, except that in the state of alabama, there is a really good chance that at least one (probably more) of your high school coaches might have graduated from/be a fan of one of the two major state colleges. and, just b/c of the coach/player day-to-day relationship (is that creepy too? you know, grown men in locker room situations with kids?), the coaches are going to have a lot of influence over the college recruits' choices.
this kind of stupid, petty sh#t that is dispensed from wanna be sports writers & internet big daddies looking to make a name for themselves is going to be the downfall of football in alabama.
for both schools.

I told jeff and kevin after speking to Darren yesterday that in my opinion I feld he had done nothing wrong and that he was not involved in doing any anything that was wrong. Look, I have known Darren for a very long time, This was suppose to deflect away from him and towards Peaches. LET ME STATE this again for the record: I DO NOT FEEL DARREN DID ANYTHING WRONG. THAT IS MY OPINION AND ONLY MY OPINION. THE NCAA HAS SOME VERY GRAY AREAS THAT NEED TO BE ADDRESSED. THIS IS A BIG MUD HOLE. WAS THERE SOMETHING THAT WENT WRONG, FROM HEARING FROM OTHER SOURCES YES, CAN IT BE PROVEN MAYBE IF THE NCAA LOOKS INTO THIS. ONLY THEN CAN THE ASK FOR BANK RECORDS FROM THE PARTIES INVOLVED, EXCLUDING DARREN. I AM SOMEWHAT UPSET THAT THIS WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE PIECE.

Are we taking it that this Benequez guy is "friends" friends with this Woodruff guy, because of facebook?
Is Friends on Facebook the same as Friends as in FRIENDS!?
Never got into Facebook, but I guess it's like having 100% authentic friends!

don't get me wrong... I hope he proves me wrong... but that article today was weak on substance and high on making alabama recruiting look sketchy.

So, Jeff threw his "source" under the bus. Sounds like a great guy.

Is this really all you have Auburn?

No, all they have to prove is that Peaches was asking for money from Auburn without BC's knowledge.
Wait, no, that won't work either...

Shane is to Alabama as Tammy is to Auburn.

No. Not a reply to anyone in particular. If I had known all of Calloway's drama would cause even a hint of improprieties, I would have said go straight to Auburn. We really don't even need him. I thought he was overrated when we signed him and still think he is.

I feel the same way. Neither Alabama or Auburn really needs him that bad. Both schools can pull in good recruits. The only reason this is going on is because both schools want to steal recruits from the other for PR reasons.

The only part of that article that would concern me if I was a AU fan is the part about Sean Nelson driving Thibadoux kids exclusively to AU on multiple occasions and never to any other schools. You never know how the NCAA looks at things like that. Since they seem to make up rules as they go, exclusive trips to AU games could potentially label Nelson as someone representing AU's interests.

Ok, ok, so let me get this right. According to Stancil's post on the bunker, even though he is cited as JLee's source, he's not really even the source? Stancil says "was there something that went wrong? from hearing from other sources, yes"
So the way I read the post as a whole, Stancil says he believes Woodruff did nothing wrong, and passed that on directly to Lee. So what Lee is actually basing his allegations on are what the source of a source might have said. Man, that is solid journalism!

Little jeffery is just pulling stuff out of his arse and the dumbass barners ( same ones that think they are clean and no money changed hands with newton ) are just lapping it up...jeffery doesnt have anything or he would have played that hand.

However , what is obvious is that Bama's two most prized recruits of 2011 CK and BC), really wanted to play at AU. Had it not been for their families forcing them to go to Bama, they'd be at AU
