I'll see if Ponamsky has said anything.
Per Ponamsky:

I think it's obvious what you want done by your posts from the rant.
Hey if the players are innocent, then I want their names cleared and apologized to. But you've got articles claiming 10 witnesses saw him kick a guy in the head. Then you've got his dad claiming he told him he wasn't there, but he was.
Their lawyer was not positive or upbeat about the situation. He didn't say "my clients did no wrong" or "my clients weren't there" or "the evidence will clear my clients". He said "I've got two clients facing serious felonies and two facing misdemeanors". And "if they're arrested or convicted of felonies it could be career killers". What do you take from that?

They also show how ill informed you are. Get your facts straight next time.
Yeah right. Anytime someone said they knew one of the victims, or talked to a relative of the victims, that put players in a bad light, y'all starting dogging them in those rant threads. All y'all want to hear is that players did no wrong any other info stating the opposite was discarded.
Not to mention four ppl had to be treated at the hospital and none of em were players.

We dogged them left and right, but only because their stories do not add up. They kept changing and tonight took another change.
Up to tonight all their reports said that the marine did not know the other individuals and were at the bar drinking. Now tonight not only did they all know each other, but they also were just there to pick up a friend and hadn't had a drink all night.
Do you blame us for calling BS when their story changes more than the tides?

I take that the police would have dropped the whole thing had the 4 instigators not filed charges. That's what I take from that.
They are still investigating and do not have any info outside of the instigator's side.

At least what the media and his friends were reporting.

I take anything an anonymous poster posts on a message board with a grain of salt. The only info I take seriously has come from news articles citing witnesses, both sides' lawyers, the cops, JJ's dad, Les Miles, and the photo that has been released.
Fact of the matter is that we haven't heard the accusers' stories yet. You can't call bullshite until they actually go on the record with their version of what went down.
Les Miles and the Unity Council held a press conference apologizing for their actions to the University, Students, Alumni, and City of Baton Rouge. Les seemed pretty ticked and said this stuff wouldn't happen again. He said we have a "remorseful" team. That leads me to believe that they're not apologizing for breaking curfew.

Well then please take notice to the info from their lawyer tonight that throws up a red flag from the other media's stories.

well no one is saying the fight didnt happen. Their remorseful because the fight happened and it gave the university a black eye.
the details of the fight, however, are at the very least very vague at the moment considering how often the stories of the "victims" have changed.

He is undertaking it pro bono, like he has other matters for LSU athletes in the past. LSU is not paying for his service, and there isn't an NCAA issue that relates to him doing that. Hell, UF has a guy that has squared away a shite ton of players...
1. Do these lawyers offer the same pro bono service for regular students?
2. If not, how the hell could that NOT be considered an extra benefit?

Sure. They also charge students.

Consideration for services rendered can be anything. Even a $1...

No one knows how much the initial reports that the victims have told the police have changed... only the stories that have been reported by the media and on the message boards appear to be inconsistent at this point. I think most people can agree that regardless of what happens, stories like this almost always change.
They won't be arrested unless there is just cause. Until then, trying to figure out what's happened is sort of futile.

Has anything changed this this afternoon? I don't feel like reading through this whole thread.
ETA: NVM. Looks like my question was answered just before I posted it.

Depends on which media report or rumor on the message board you choose to believe.
