What are the chances McCullough came home in the middle of this guy running a go route on his girlfriend and the rest of this is a Petrino-style cover story?

Uhm no,I lock my door. However, I would ask them to leave like a normal human being. I wouldn't wait for them to leave, chase them down from behind and sucker punch them. That's the last thing on my mind. If he felt he needed to protect his GF he should have done it at the start. I get that. But the dude had already left. The "threat" was over.

You can't attack someone who has left your domicile and claim self defense. He's just a thug with thug impulses.

did who knows what,

Obviously not enough to make it into the police report or warrant that type of response.

According to the reports guy mistakenly opens wrong apartment door immediately realizes apologizes and leaves. If that happened to me I'd tell him to get the frick out and if he did I'd let his drunk arse go on his way and lock my door. I would not go after him and punch him in the face and down a flight of stairs knocking his teeth out and busting my hand. That would be kind of ridiculous.

Not sure what the "did who knows what, with your wife/GR present" is supposed to mean. You got some fantasy about what the drunk guy did other than what is in the reports?

Did you notice the comma there? You don’t think the “victims” account of what happened is a little strange? I mean he couldn’t possibly be interested in omitting information to the police that would incriminate him.

That’s more plausible than what the “victim” has tried to sell

Listen I'm all for letting the legal system play out and for both sides to be heard as I'm sure it will. I'm just commenting on what has been reported thus far. Mike Tyson might have a perfectly good and legal reason for what he did, police/courts will have to sort it out. Sounds like he had to be called back to the scene after the cops arrived and asked who did it. He probably knew he fricked up.

By the "victim."

He probably could have walked away fine had he not mouthed off when walking away.

I have no pity for him. Don't get so drunk you don't know where you are. And, if you do, don't be an a-hole, which is most likely the case when it falls out.

I don't pity the drunk either, I don't know him. Maybe this will set him on a better path in the long run. Who knows.

But weak minded people let some drunk idiot's words end up putting them in jail with felony charges.

I don't disagree.

But, I also won't be surprised to see charges dropped before long

Yes, after he was most rightfully knocked the frick out.

I can easily imagine a drunk dude cussing and running his mouth for someone to let him in to the wrong house. Saying some stupid shite when he figured it out and getting his teeth knocked out.

Truly don't care.

If you care or not isn't really relevant. When it comes to justice and the law, vigilantes are criminals.

Defending himself is justified.

Beyond that, it's not.
