Nix speech would be pitiful. How he ran from the SEC to pac 12. Was average in the toughest conference. Lost most of the big games year to year.

I %100 agree. I remember many years ago it came down to the end of the season and a bunch of ESPN talking heads were talking about the Heisman and it ended up with some QB from Miami or somewhere winning. But one of them brought up that AA LB from Ole Miss, can't think of his name, off the top of my head, but he said that he should get some consideration. They laughed that guy off the stage. Even though if you looked at that kid's numbers, he had 100+ tackles, about 14 sacks, 12 tfl, 3 ints and killed about 4 Taliban terrorists, but do you think he even got a sniff from the voters? Even though anyone could see he was like Brock Bowers, clearly one of the best players in the nation, but no way he was gonna win it.
I think what JD has done has been nothing short of amazing and if he don't win it, like you said, it'll just raise about 5 million eyebrows across the nation against the voters of the award that is SUPPOSED to award the best players.
