He should have been the first pick without debate

Not if the other team wants a pure pocket quarterback.

The rant is miserable and loathes everything regarding LSU but he’s a BAW and all the makings of a star.

His OL is gonna suck. That's gonna be his problem.

yeah, he 'finna' get tossed around like a rag doll, like he did at home VS UT (40-13).

I wonder if his helmet will get ripped off again?

This is what I worry about for Jayden Daniels.

There is not much he can do about the Bama hit. NFL is flag happy when it comes to protecting to the QB so those plays should be limited, but like you said they do happen some times.

The Ole Miss, he just needs to be better about having his head on a swivel and bracing for a hit by lowering his shoulder and dropping to the ground. He had zero momentum and was standing almost straight up before the hit.

You do have to give him credit though, as many hard hits as he took, he usually was able to shrug it off and keep playing. He does need to learn that he isn't playing for a season anymore, he is playing for a career.

No amount of speed and shiftiness will beat an NFL defense. If you try to make a meal out of running the ball they will eventually run you down and hurt you.

The damage that is done to QBs in the pocket, between the whistles, is its own bear trap. Of the 32 NFL QBs that started the season last year only 8 played and started all 17 games. Like Steve Young said, "The NFL is a nasty sport."

That might be true, but we here this crap about virtually every rookie qb every preseason. Last year it was Bryce Young who was so good.

I get your point, but my response would be:

you're showing some negative plays. But the truth is, Daniels is a guy who can score almost at will on the ground; as a Bama fan you know this. One play in OT, 25 yd TD run.
Guys like that normally rely on that ability.

Daniels didn't. Sure, he ran for 1k yds last year, so at first glance you can say he does. But he went from 2900 yds, 17 TDs and 3 int passing, to 3800 yds, 40 TDs and 4 int passing in 1 year.
He transferred in 2022, so he was learning a new system (just like going to the NFL will be). He doesn't throw picks, and with a year in the system he became a legit star passing.

Give him some continuity in the NFL with guys who can catch, he's going to put up big numbers. He's not just a great athlete who can throw, he's a great passer who can also run.

You aren’t throwing to wide open receivers in the NFL and downfield shots are tough to come by. Aiyuk trade would be interesting if Wash pulls the trigger. He’s gonna need some help in the league
