Because if Nuss left you'd be down to a true freshman backup and this would give another option in case the true freshman wasn't ready.

No I’m saying it doesn’t make sense for Nuss to leave if not named starter.

Do we need to revisit your QB thread from last pre-season?

I’ve heard if Nuss isn’t named starter then he will be going in the portal. This seems like a pickup to guard against that.

Sounds right

Sources: Arizona State quarterback Jayden Daniels has committed to LSU. Sources tell ESPN he’ll be eligible for spring practice and should arrive there the next few weeks.

How would he be able to enroll in the middle of the semester?

Really? I don't understand why he would think he should be the starter.

Fun fact: The dude who videotaped that and is speaking actually transferred from LSU to Arizona State.

What a small world

Yup. I’m not crazy about it, but he could be a serviceable backup and be used similarly to how Perrilloux was used with Flynn. We’ll see.

Are you drinking again? Going cold turkey isn't good.

When he was visiting with Drinkwitz and the coaches sounded like he wanted to be the starter. I think that is why he decided to visit LSU then boom he is heading there. Might be that he is going to be the starter. No way he would go there to be a backup.

The skill fits the mold new offensive coordinator Mike Denbrock envisions for quarterbacks. In February, Denbrock said when LSU recruited the position in the future, he wanted players “that may be a little bit able to make some plays with his feet,” in addition to having a strong, accurate arm and the ability to quickly process defenses.

“I think that dual-threat quarterback in today's football, especially in this league with some of the monsters we go against on the defensive side of the ball, is another element you can add to who you already are,” Denbrock said. “That's something that we're looking for.”

Maybe they were going after his Mom: she’s been accused of paying for recruits flights to ASU as part of the NCAA investigation.
