Great decision.

But I also wanted to see what Nuss could do, so IDK.

No idea, but you would logically think that he was waiting on Daniels to make a decision.

Wonder if Tennessee, Auburn, Kentucky, et al. might be making contact with him?

When the other option is being undrafted, seems like a no brainer

Unfortunately he probably does. If he goes to ole miss with kiffin, they will be a problem.

I know nothing but you'd have to think he would. Just based on the extremely little he's shown in 2022 it seems apparent that he's good enoguh to start at a good number of high level progrmas. Can't imagine why he'd sit the bench all year again in 2023.

LSU doesn’t beat bama last year without daniels and his mobility

isn't their starter returning also?

I don't get why everyone thinks Nuss is all of a sudden so highly regarded and desired by other programs. He played well against a team that was up a ton. He still made passes that typically get picked off and the safety took a bad angle on.

No guarantee he would start anywhere else after having to learn a new system and receivers.
If he’s good enough, he will beat Daniels out and start here.

He would certainly seem to benefit from another season.

No way he's projected as one of the top 8-10 QBs taken this year with Young, Stroud, Levis, etc.

Nuss frequently doesn’t see the safeties in coverage. He makes NFL level throws but he’s also good for at least two absolutely horrific decisions per game.

This is a conundrum for LSU fans.

First of all, why wouldn't he come back? It's not like NFL scouts are knocking at his door.

And he didn't exactly lose his job to Nuss. He got hurt and Nuss played well. That doesn't mean he lost his job.

Kelly sees these QB's every day, he knows who gives him the best chance to win, and Daniels has been that guy, and LSU overachieved with Daniels.

On the other hand, Nuss is apparently a badass. I don't know much about him other than watching him light us up in the 2nd half of the SEC CG. You'd hate to lose that guy to the portal because he's obviously got skills and potential. What's Nuss's eligibility situation vs Daniels?
