However, I still haven't heard an explanation about the 'money was too much' quote.

Me neither....but unless there are tapes to prove this, it is hearsay and will go down as bullshite.

But explain to me why Auburn would lose "scollies" as you call them, or be banned from bowls?

If AU were determined to have paid Cam? You must be joking.

I am NOT, nor have I ever, saying AU did pay. I have ZERO info in that regard, so I do not assume them guilty. I was just wondering what you meant by "AU will be fine"

A lot of people would say that if ALL that happens was the 'cam is ineligible. Vacate the wins'...then THAT would mean AU is "fine".

This is like talking about what would have happen if the German won WW11. It is a mute issue. Please see peoples exhibits # 212-498, the tapes

No, not joking, but I wasn't aware you were referring to an allegation that hasn't even been made by anybody but fans of rival teams on the net.

Does this mean Cam will NOT be ruled ineligible and AU does not vacate / forfeit any wins?

Or, just no additional sanctions (bowl bans, scollies, etc)?

Both. Unless something unknown at this time comes out. My only real concern is the FBI this week actually uncovering something. Not saying there is something for them to find either. Just that I am satisfied the NCAA is satisfied at this point with what is known.

DAMN, Dude..I was asking you what you meant by "AU will be fine" frick!!!

You have to understand that there is an imprecision in that statement. I simply wondered if you were asserting that AU would have NOTHING negative come from this (no wins vacated, Cam not ineligible) or if you meant that AU would not get any sanctions.

If you are too assholish to simply answer an honestly presented question, then so be it. But, stop acting as if the full range of possibilities is a mystery to you.

People, like Kenny Rogers, have been prosecuted for attempting to get pay for play, or actually securing it and jeopardizing eligibility of players.

THAT is the type thing the FBI is after. And yes, they could uncover other things while looking at that.

I've answered your question.

You don't want to hear it, and you want to discuss "what if Auburn paid?"

I could give a shite less about something that's not even been alleged.

Lighten up and read.

I don't really care about the hearsay conspiracy stuff. According the stuff we know as of now Cecil Newton attempted to get paid for Cam to play for MSU and has admitted to it. That is a violation of NCAA rules and would make Cam ineligible.

At this point the only thing that saves your season is the slowness of the NCAA dragging it out until after the bowls OR the NCAA making an unprecedented move to not rule him ineligible based on the "Daddy did it" defense.

just out curiosity...why would the FBI get involved in that. Doesn't seem like something that would rise to a federal level does it? Why would they bother?

That's fine and dandy. Problem is, no one believes Cam didn't know. The other problem is that Cecil said "it's not gonna be free this time". No way Cecil makes his son go to a school that Cam doesn't want to go to without getting paid.

And herein lies one of the biggest misconceptions about all of this. That is absolutely NOT a fact.
