Javonte Smart's eligibility now in question

How will LSU handle Smart now that Will Wade has been fired for discussing how he paid Smart off on the telephone. LSU is in a trick bag here because if they suspend him I suspect he will sue LSU yet if they don't suspend him it makes the entire NCAA/SEC Tourney a farce.

Well, LSU did suspend a coach for a wiretap where he was taped buying Smart.
I would think LSU will have to sit Smart. You can't do one and not the other.

Feel bad for him, he’s an elite talent and it sucks that his AAU handlers and Wade could jeopardize his collegiate career

I believe he'd just have to sit a while. Like Purifoy, Wiley and numerous other players had too. His career isn't over.

He’s already played in every game this year why would you stop playing him now? If it’s to be scrapped it’s scrapped already
