Give me Teo at MLB. I thnk he has shown to be the leader of that team and he's also a very good player.

Jarvis is a very good pass rusher but the SEC Championship game shows that if you run the ball at him you can negate the affect he has on the game.

I'm not saying Jones is one dimensional. I just think there are ways you can scheme take him out of the game oppose to Teo.

Wow Teo has many more TT but has about the same solo tackles. Why could this be?

I think he jumps on the pile.

Apples to oranges. They are asked to do two different things. Jarvis is asked to completely take over games. Teo is asked to gang tackle and make interceptions off of tips.

I'd take Jones. He has the ability to totally take over games at the olb spot

Please stop saying this. Alabama went to run because they were having success with it against Georgia. Yes Georgia had a good rush but AJ was also having trouble finding a open receiver.

Jarvis Jones didn't have much to do with Alabama going to the run as much as Georgia's inability to stop it.

Sabah said in his press conference the reason they went to the run 99% of the plays in the second half was because they couldn't protect Mccaron.

Neither, give me clowney all day every day.

And before someone goes showing their ignorance, yes clowney is a DE in the 4-3, he would be a Sam or Jack in the 3-4 though, which is where we were going to put him had we landed him.

I do remember him saying that in his press conference. But do you think he would have blindly continued to run the football if he was not having any success with it.

He's had an extremely impressive career

Manti Te'o stats in 4 years:

quote:

209 solo tackles, 34 tackles for loss, 8.5 sacks, 7 INTs, 2 Forced Fumbles.

That's not extremely impressive. It's pedestrian.

Meanwhile, Jarvis Jones stats in 3 years (really 2.5 years, as the first was cut short at USCw):
quote:

91 solo tackles, 43.5 tackles for loss, 26 sacks, 1 INT, 9 forced fumbles

Do you not realize that by doing that, though, you are having to reduce your team to a "run at Jarvis" offense. All because of one guy. Jarvis Jones forces your OC to be one dimensional. Now, if the guys around Jarvis can pick up the slack... That's the issue there.

In 4 years, the only thign impressive about those stats, I guess, are the solo tackles? Maybe the INT's?

Give me a reason why that's delusional other than your nose up the media's arse?

Those aren't great stats. They're good, but no where close to great. frick it those are pedestrian over a career.

I'd take Jones, Mosley, and Minter over Te'o. Overrated.

I don't give a frick about the stats, we're talking about talent. The question is who would you rather have. His stats this year are impressive. He has had a great career. Those are objective facts. He is a much more well rounded player than Jones, and for all of the "Jones is a playmaker" posts in here, look at Te'o's takeaway numbers this year. He is also a playmaker.
