I'm more acute.

Answer the question.

With Chizik's recruits.

There is nothing that supports he wouldn't win more than what you've currently got. Besides homerism.

I could base it off the job he did at Iowa State. But that wouldn't be fair. And asking the question isn't a sign of homerism, it was simply a question. It's all hypothetical. Just like I could ask if Mullen would have won a NC at Auburn in 2010.

Ask an intelligent one and I will. The ones you ask now make you look football stupid. Are you? .....Stupid?

I believe I did. Is having talent more of a factor in winning than coaching ability?

That would require proof that he is capable of hiring a staff competent enough to bring in the right players to handle this...which he has not proven. But Chizik has. Which also answers the OP's question.

I wonder how Mullen would do at ISU if he were hired in 2007.

He would not have a Manny Diaz to run his Defense or an Anthony Dixon at RB.

As long as he beat Iowa, he could put up billboards and get extensions.

I promise I'm not trying to win anything here. Just was wanting some discussion. I think it's safe to say Auburn fans want Chizik and State fans want Mullen. I'm not expecting any NC here, but I would say that regardless of our coach.

Good point. Manny had tons of options out of MTSU, but he shunned them all to come to MSU.

Auburn fans are pretty high on a coach who has been nothing but mediocre unless he has one of he best players of the last 20 years...

Not a problem. I admitted earlier to trolling a troll thread.

Which would be his first year at Auburn, and a year after graduating 30+ players, and pretty much all starters.

So do you have the right coach at State? Chizik has me expecting AU to compete for NC's. I know we have the right coach.

Coaches live and die by the players they bring in? Shocker.

You seem mad about the positive attitude of AU fans, get over it.
