Which is better:
A first time head coach going to a historically terrible program and finishing with 5 wins in two years?
Or
A first time head coach going to a historically terrible program and finishing with 14 wins in two years?

No only Mullen is capable. We will probably never know. I doubt he would go backwards and coach at MSU.
I guess I worded my question incorrectly. I've always felt that Mullen has done a great job getting State to where they are, which to an Auburn fan, would not be much.

As painful as it is to admit, ISU is an even worse situation than what is present in Starkville.

Keep in mind, this amazing statistic was accomplished in a watered down, shitty division of a 2 team conference.

State is a much better job than Iowa State. It's a lot harder to win and recruit there than Starkville.

It's easier to win at state. Am I doing this right?

Winning with Chiziks recruits makes winning easier at ISU.

Chizik can recruit.
So talent is more of a factor than coaching ability?

And Auburn won 22 games in the two years after Chizik got here. What's your point?

Is being obtuse part of the grind code?

When Paul Rhodes is your coach...apparently.

You don't think recruiting talent is an important part of coaching?
