If you think Milroe is going to just be handed the job with no QB competition, you are very wrong. New year, new coaches, new offense. Milroe doesn't remotely have that job in the bag.

If so, what does that say about the guys that haven’t been able to beat him out for the starting job after more than a year of competition?

It is like some of you don’t understand the concept of 2nd and 3rd string. I believe that if Saban had thought that Simpson gave Alabama a better chance to win than did Milroe he would have started Simpson. He didn’t. The half game he did play you could see why.

I believe Deboer will do the same and start the player he thinks will give Alabama the best chance to win. His job depends on it just like Saban’s did.

I am not hating on Simpson. I just think that if he were head and shoulders better than Milroe he would have started. And he may still if he progresses more than Milroe. But based on last year; is he a better passer than Milroe? Maybe, maybe not. Is Milroe a better runner than Simpson? Absolutely.

I will put my faith that Saban and now Deboer are better judges of talent and have a lot more insight into it than random internet users.

Did he not get a fair shot in two spring camps and one fall camp?

I think we just saw during the USF game what the coaches had been seeing in practice. Practice is when the depth chart is established. I would love if Ty Simpson were an all- American caliber quarterback.

But if he were I don’t think Saban and now Deboer would have him at second string. Some of you guys keep saying how great Simpson is and how horrible Milroe is. If you are right, then why didn’t Simpson come out of this spring as QB1? Why has nobody seen these sustained flashes of greatness from him? I said it last year, and I will say it now. At this point I think Milroe is the best Alabama has at QB. Maybe Simpson passes him. Maybe not. But as of now Milroe is QB1.

Have you seen a pic of big game? He got exposed when he shows up at barstool. Dudes never played a sport or lifted weight in his life .
