That's why Daboll left and why Locksley was promoted from within.

imo.

I'm not even trolling tbh, I really do think this. Daboll and Chip Long wanted guarantees that Tua would be the starter or at least have the chance to win the job in camp, which Saban wouldn't do. Hence the Ensminger route with Locksley.

Jalen Hurts is more likely to start for your UAB Blazers in 2019 than he is for Alabama in 2018.

Well if he does, Les Koenning won't be calling the plays, so that's good.

I do not know who that is.

ETA: Name reminds me of a slackjaw OC we had under Fran. Is that the same guy?

Yeah, same guy. Shitty OC, glad he's gone.

Ive never questioned or been mad at Coach Saban while he has been at Bama.....but if this happens I will do both.

Saban may want to because Jalen makes less mistakes but he will start Tua for 2 reason that are not obvious.

1) Tua needs game time experience. As good as he is he needs to eliminate the stupid mistakes and the only way to get better at this point is to get most of the reps with the 1's in practice and get most of the playing time on the field.

2) The players will want Tua. You could see that in the last game. They will respond better to the better QB and Saban knows team psychology better than any coach alive.

I actually fear you may be right. Saban saw Tua light it up in practice and in live action all year yet stayed with a shitty Jalen Hurts anyway. I hope he isn't that dumb but he did reward seniority this past year at more than one position.

Please list each position, along with the name of the player, where Saban sat the better option and put an inferior player in the field.

I can tell you're a racist piece of shite.

Only reason you say this is because Locksley is black. For all you know he was begging for Tua as the WR coach.

Quarterback
RT
RG
SS
LT
WR

Najee Harris should have gotten the carries that were given to Bo.

Tua was clearly better than Hurts.

Alex Leatherwood should have started at LT with Williams moving to RT.

Cam Sims should have been second string to any of our 3 freshmen receivers.

Hootie Jones should have been second string behind Thompson.

There were likely more than one kid better than Lester Gotten at RG.

It happens all the time but Saban used to have no problem playing the more talented freshman. He played seniority. He won a championship so it didn't matter but due to sticking with a subpar Hurts we got our arse kicked by Auburn. I remember Gene Stallings starting a senior Dennis Riddle over Shaun Alexander. Obviously just my opinion but I am not alone.

Why make the assumption that a black coach would automatically want to start Hurts?

What is he implying with that? Why is he even thinking that?
