He deserves to be #2 or #3. He would win it if it wasn't an amazing year for QBs.

ACC top 4:

Clemson 11-0
UVA 7-3
Pitt 7-3
VT 7-3

Big 12 top 5:

OU 9-1
Baylor 9-1
Iowa State 6-4
Texas 6-4

After OU and Baylor the rest of the conference is, at best, one game away from being .500. And the conference's marquee OOC win is against 4-6 Miss St. The ACC ain't good, but the Big 12 is fricking awful.

kansas, the worst team in the big 12, beat a middle of the pack boston college team 48-24. those top 4 ACC teams excluding clemson would all lose to the top 4 big 12 teams you mentioned

Coming back against a Baylor team in 2019 is sad because Baylor should have been a 7 or 8 loss team this year

Not talking away from the injury. It was terrible, I feel for the kid and his family and hope that he makes a full recovery.

But I truly believe that Tua gained some sympathy votes for the Heisman.

Remember that there was a reaction in 2012 to the death of Manti Te'o's girlfriend (whether she was real or not is irrelevant) and there seemed to be was a movement by some or conversation to give him the trophy out of sympathy.

Burrow:
0 loss 10 wins (4 signature wins: Texas, Florida, Auburn, Alabama)
215 yards rushing
3687 yards passing
3902 Total combined yards
78.6% completion percentage
6 interceptions
38 TD's passing
3 TD's rushing
41 total TD's

Hurts:
1 loss 9 wins (2 signature wins: Texas and Baylor)
983 yards rushing
3039 yards passing
Total combined: 4022 yards
73% completion percentage
5 interceptions
28 TD's passing
15 TD's rushing
43 total TD's

Overall, they are very close. Burrow has the Heisman to lose, but Hurts can make it close if he adds a signature win against top 25 Oklahoma State and Chuba Hubbard.
