Greg Robinson was as much a product of the scheme as he was talent.
This is an ignorant statement. He has tangible and measurable gifts that are uncommon. He mauled players all year long. He will have to learn to pass protect better if he becomes the blind side tackle he was picked to be, but to say he was a product of a scheme is ridiculous. Watch some tape and look at the 10 criteria for an NFL tackle. See if he measures up.

GRob got paid. Now he has to perform. if he doesnt, oh well.
I am big time rooting for Jake Matthews to dominate as I am a falcons fan and SO SICK of Sam Baker, who sucked testicles for 3 years. Sorry Baker got hurt, but frick him.

Matthews was starting no matter who was healthy. The guy is a badass. They showed him vs JJ watt and he did fine. Played lights out the other night too.
Really though, I've just come to expect it from the matthews clan. We were lucky to get them.

Stop starting threads BamaDoc. They're terrible.

LOL.
Does one divisional opponent's highly drafted OL having more success than your rival's highly drafted OL before their rookie season even begins make you feel any better about Kick 6?
I love that less than a week before kickoff alabama is still reduced to moral victories. Pitiful ones at that.

Auburn's speed rushers owned him all game long last year. It will be interesting to see how he does against NFL DE talent.

GRob could have been a fine center, Barbee had no eye for talent...

Are you all the this defensive over everything?

Your comparing a great tackle to a potential great guard. Was very surprised though that a guard was taking so high in the draft, over the 2 best tackles (Matthews and Lewan).

Bruce needs to get CJ on the hardwood

Most ever year, the best tackle is taken over the best guard. Last year was an exception.
