Good thread, solid internet skills- here is your upvote

To your third point, Tennessee's Ayres Hall has had the checkerboard design since 1920. Which is earlier than the thirties. Here is the evidence:
OK....thats the inspiration for Tennessee doing it.

Doug Dickey did it first for UTs endzones in 1964.

UK put it on Stoll Fields endzones in 1930.

So....you know.......suck it Trebek.

Actually it was written by Felice and Boudleaux Bryant
of Georgia, when they checked into room 388

I did some digging and you are correct sir.

They wrote it. The Osborne Bros were the first to record it!

THANK GOD. I can now look at them with the respect these Kentucky bluegrass luminaries deserve. Always stuck in my craw that a God fearing Kentuckian could write such words about Tennessee.

ITS ALL YOUR DAMN FAULT GEORGIA! lol

All Bourbon is Whiskey. All Whiskey is NOT Bourbon.
Gentleman Jack is the only thing that comes out of that distillery that is even remotely worth drinking.
I’ll take plain old Jim Beam over JD all day, every day, but I like Johnny Walker Black when I actually want to enjoy what I drink.

Kentucky has some mighty fine horses. Best in the land.

But Tennessee has some top-notch hound dogs.

And Smokey...?

That bawl-mouth hound is awesome!

OP went 1-3 in his opening monologue. And a later point went brought it to 1-4. Ironic and prophetic. Good job.

I remember the 1st time I saw UK beat Tennessee. I was pissed. It was the adult version of finding out Santa Claus want real. Sure folks said it could happen and almost happened a couple times but seeing it was just surreal. It’s something I never expected to see, something that I just never considered possible. Sure folks talked about it happening in the 70s some and I was alive for 4 loses before I actually saw it happen but the odds were against it. Now I’ve seen it twice. I doubt I see it in the foreseeable future.

I don’t drink often enough to drop more than a 40 spot on a bottle. Call it low class if you want. Besides that, brown liquor makes me extremely horny and not at all selective, so I end up humping the arm of the couch more often than not. I usually don’t have more than a drink or two.

Blanton’s is good. Not a fan of the cult following it has though. There are far superior, more accessible bourbons out there. Honestly I’d rather get a bottle of Eagle Rare than go on a wild goose chase for Blanton’s.
