That schools used to hire family members as coaches to lure a recruit? Yeah, a lot of people used that strategy when it was still permitted and it was perfectly legal. But I guess LSU hired David Patrick in 2012 in hopes his 14 year old god son would commit 4 years later. Btw, did your other account get suspended cajunbama?

That he wasn’t employed there anymore because LSU fired the HC?

The only thing that’s obvious is that you don’t have any idea what you are talking about.

Well, in fairness, he was only there for a semester and a quarter. Almost went to each class once.

He was the poster child for the completely detached one and done player.

I thought LSU just started landing big-time recruits the past year, which is why everyone's eyebrows should have been raised? Just want things to be clear on the troll talking points.

Nah, LSU can always land big-time recruits, that's why CWW's direct involvement with the runner/agent was so unnecessary. He obviously didn't know LSU has the clout to pull some big bball talent, he felt he needed to "help."

He never pretended to be anything else. Dude came over as a 15 year old , looking to get to the NBA. It wasn't his fault that he was forced to go to college. I don't think he goes to LSU if they were a better program at the time. Simmons wanted to work out for a few months then get drafted. He didn't give a crap about March Madness or any of that

Hired his Godfather...

Kid never went to class - per students that posted on this site...

Kid shite on University and left without so much as a kiss my arse...

Couldn't even cheat and win with him and the kid they got from Louisville only because he was one of the recruits in stripper gate and didn't want to go down with that whole scene.

Sad.

Simmons played for the previous coach, not Will Wade.

Uh, yeah. . . He preferred LSU over aTm by a long shot, mainly because he's not super excited about a bunch of queer Texas boys dressed up in white and playing cheerleader. (Obviously you're butt hurt over him coming out of the closet as straight.)

shite, Press completely paid to raise one of his recruits.

Seriously, do none of you find it odd that Pete Maravich came to LSU from North Carolina. You know he and his family got paid.

We used a legal trick out of Saban's playbook and offered his Godfather a coaching job on the team...nothing to see here.

LIAR! Stop lying.

When it comes to recruiting, it's hard to beat long-lasting relationships. In this case, Patrick is Simmons' godfather and played with his dad, Dave, in Australia.
