Trey Mason wasn't dominant? You may want to pull saban's dick out of your mouth long enough to ask him.
Start with William Andrews and go allllllllllll the way to Stephen Davis. consecutive.years.for.close.to.two.decades.

When the sample sizes are large and nearly the same, YPC is a more accurate measure of effectiveness than total rushing yards.

Tre Mason, 3rd best rushing season in SEC history, SEC championship game rushing record, and Heisman finalist

No, he wasn't.

Mason was unstoppable in 2013. Everybody knew he was getting the ball and he still went for 150 vs Bama, 300 in SECCG, and 195 in the BCSNCG. That is dominant.

Averaged 5.7 YPC against bama.....that isn't dominant though.

Mason was the product of a zone read, spread offense.
That's why you people have had so many consecutive RBs with more than 1000 yards.
St. Louis wasted 2 of their first 3 picks in the 2014 draft on Tre Mason (3rd round) and Greg Robinson (1st Round). Guarantee you they're regretting that decision.

If you are projecting college career to NFL career.....I would argue that bama has put more busts at the QB position, in the last 30 years, than any college in the nation. Clip board holder after clip board holder.

What was TRent a product of?

Take out that 40 yard rush on a busted play, and what are those numbers? TIA.

Pretty silly to argue that Bama has been producing NFL bust QBs, when we haven't had a single QB drafted in the first round since 1976.
Sweet thread derail, though.

Cool.
Nobody outside of Auburn, AL thinks Tre Mason stacks up with anything Bama has produced since 2009. That's all.

Spin what?
How does anyone with a functioning brain proclaim a bunch of 4th-7th round QB picks to be busts?
That's not a thing.
It's really amazing that we've won 7 National Championships since the last time we had a QB drafted in the first round.
SEVEN.
Without a single great quarterback. Amazing.

Feel free to start your own thread to dispute it. I'm sure the SEC Rant is just eaten up with Tre Mason envy.

We've been putting up 1000 yard rushers a lot longer then we've been running the zone read

I guess the system is the reason Peyton Barber looked so mediocre this year? Mason is the only RB that has been dominant for us since we've started running this offense.
He's a solid NFL player too, but what he does in the pros is irrelevant to the fact that he was a dominant college player. Some of the most dominant college players of all time didn't translate to the pros. Tebow, Manziel, Vince Young. All time leading rusher Ron Dayne. But you wouldn't argue they weren't dominant in college.
And if you're going to argue that out RBs benefit from our system, then so do Bama's. You also run a run heavy offense and they get the benefit of running behind a future NFL OL. I guess that's why they all flame out in the NFL.
