Missouri is a Yankee state unless one wants to count Quantrill. and he was from Ohio.

Jesse James is a Missouri native (born in Kearney, Mo about 20 miles from me) and he was as Confederate and southern as they come.

In fact, I bet Nick Saban asks for pop and mayonnaise on his cheeseburgers.

Go to New Orleans, and order a po boy, any po boy. It will have mayo. Even a Meatball po boy. Bread, Meatballs, red gravy, and mayo.

Damn lot of yanks coaching in the SEC. Y'all should clean that up.

If this was 1860-1865 (or prior to 1976)I suppose since these coaches deserted the north for the south they would be classified as copperheads.

Tell that to Cockrell's Missourians who died in the Confederate works at the siege of Blakeley in April 1865.

Mine too, phrased almost exactly the same way. Not even kidding.

Though my other grandmother allowed that Blue Plate and Duke's were okay, though Duke's is a little too sweet for her taste.

Cockrell's Missouri Brigade was one of the best, if not the best brigades in any Confederate Army. The Missouri troops that fought for the Confederacy were outstanding soldiers. Jo Shelby's Iron Brigade weren't too shabby either.

And anyone calling Missouri "yankee" is just dumb. You can hate them all you want (I'm not a a huge fan myself) but at least hate them for legitimate reasons.
