What Rkansas retards don't understand is they whould not be in the SEC if fsu and maimi would have joined.

Arky fans are by far the most unbearable on the SEC Rant. You would think it would be AU since they are coming off a MNC, but instead Arky's inferiority complex has taken over the site.

The funny thing is, its not an inferiority complex...programs cycle up and down the ladder...A UT fan should know this

We've more recently appeared in an SEC title game than you, won an SEC title than you, won a BCS game than you, and won a MNC than you...and we just had our second worst decade in program history.

The funny thing is that some of the Arkies complain about the old jokes about Arky while posting flagship this and that and making "we have the best (insert anything here)" threads.
Quite ironic.
Most of you are good folks. The act is old though.
:hogsessed: There, saved a couple of you the trouble.

You took me out of context. It is all the new hog posters talking shite constantly that has caused alot of it. It was not always like this.
This is 100% truth. The influx has caused the big turn against Arky. Most everyone was fairly neutral until recently.
I used to root for Matt Jones and that era of Hogs. The fans seemed tolerable and the team was fun to watch. Not sure what happened.
I  u.

I'm only talking about football here. I grew up elsewhere and moved to AR the summer of '92. I wasn't here for history before 1992 so my opinions are based from then on. The first game I saw as a new fan was a loss to The Citadel.
92: utter crap, 3-7-1, though we did beat Carolina, Tenn and LSU and tie Auburn
93: tasty mediocrity, 5-5-1, though the record books say 6-4-1 due to "winning" against Bama by putting up 3 pts to their 43
94: more crap, 4-7, beating nobody of consequence
95: hints of football, 8-5, tainted by skull-fricking in SEC champ game and bowl failure
96: nothing to see here...move along, 4-7
97: lather, rinse, repeat...4-7, ending with fourth straight loss to LSU
98: new hope, 9-3, after 8-0 start we're geek who thought we'd get the prom queen until she kicked our teeth in. Bowl failure
99: so-so, 8-4, does at least end with Cotton win over Texas
00: crap, 6-6 and ends with yet more bowl failure, this time to freaking UNLV
01: tasty mediocrity continues, 7-5 with yet another bowl loss, to Oklahoma in Cotton
02: flatter to deceive, 9-5, classic HDN ending with another SEC champ skull-frick and bowl loss...to Minnesota in Music City
03: batting .667 is fun for the whole family, 9-4 after 'huge' bowl win over Missouri in Independence
04: time for a 2-year pass, 5-6...moving along
05: still passing (but not on field), 4-7, and 70-17 is all that needs to be said
06: get used to late slides, 10-4, but 'finishing' with losses to LSU, FL in the SEC champ, and Wiscy in the Cap One
07: how is your unflavored oatmeal, 8-5 and utter embarrassment in Cotton against Missouri
08: take your lumps, 5-7, new coach and new players
09: hints of hope, 8-5, but squeaker of bowl win against ECU uninspiring
10: tainted sweets, 10-3, nice improvement and no need to rehash; we all know about the failures
So what picture does this paint? It's certainly not a record that indicates we've arrived, are elite, or guaranteed of success. On the whole it's mediocre at best. We've never won the SEC or a BCS bowl, let alone a modern MNC.
As a fan who lives in the town where the school is and gets to follow development, I think I see things that give hope for better success. Guarantee? No. I fully realize the football giants against whom we compete. But if I didn't have hope then I wouldn't bother being a fan. So I go into 2011-12 eager to see how things go. I can't predict when but my hope tells me that one day we'll show we belong by doing more than having a good game or a good year here and there.
