David Greene 3* recruit. How many wins did that guy have as a starting QB? I can go on for days.

Because not every coach has the resources or ability to land a top 3 class. Saban can do it and apparently so can Kirby. Count Dabo and Urban as the only two others with the ability to consistently expect a Top 3 class.

That's 4 coaches out of 129. Of course the other 125 would be thrilled to simply be in the top 10, they're not beating out those top 4 for the majority of the guys they're after.

Nick Saban and Urban Meyer would call you an idiot if you told them that.

Only I have named several exceptions from you own program

Now multiply that by 10 teams and it is why there is an extremely negligible difference between the #1 and #10 classes. It took you guys like 5 weeks to finally understand how the playoff rankings worked I imagine it will take you just as long to understand how recruiting rankings work as well since you are new to all this.

Even though recruiting rankings were in their infancy at the time and even though Greene and Pollack are highlighted as 3*s because it adds to their legend (btw, those rankings are no longer readily available on the Rivals or Scout sites), I'll play your game:

3* Thomas Davis, 2* Tim Jennings. And there was 5* DJ Shockley at QB that won us an SECCG and 4* Odell Thurman and 5* Greg Blue playing in front of and beside Davis and Jennings.

Dom Sanders and JR Reed are starting on our defense and both were 3* or lower recruits out of HS. And then there are 4*s Roquan Smith, Natrez Patrick, Jon Ledbetter, Davin Bellamy, and Deandre Baker and 5*s trent Thomspon and Lorenzo Carter.

Point being, every team has one or two guys that grew into quality starters from relatively humble rankings but on teams like UGA and Bama they're surrounded by 4* and 5* talent in practice and on the field to help them grow and make up for mistakes.

Rankings have gotten more and more consistent to the point that they're a pretty good indicator of future success for players and programs.

So Nick is going to say our #5 or #6 class this year isn’t as good or comparable as #4, 3, 2, or 1?

Do you even understand what you are typing?

He would say a #10 class isnt as good as a #1 class, and the difference could be huge.

Which is why there is little to no difference between the top 10 classes. Do you understand this?

If 90% of rankings prove something, and 10% dont, then there is a big difference.

Odds of Becoming an All-American, by Recruiting Ranking

5–Star: 1 in 4.
Top 100: 1 in 6.
4–Star: 1 in 16.
3–Star: 1 in 56.
2–Star: 1 in 127.

Jake La Mota us the only BAMA fan on this board that is obsessed with GA. Please stop replying to him. Either someone from UGA stole his family or he is anAuburn fan, but UGA lives in head and he is clearly but hurt over UGA

That’s good. But none of those regular seasons ended with GA having a real opportunity to win the National championship

Only a non-UGA fan would say that. Kirby's electrified the Dawg Nation. I'm a season ticket holder and the home stadium's a different place this season. And, although I didn't go to SB, I have friends and family who did and said it was crazy to see the stadium more than half-filled with UGA fans. CMR never garnered that kind of passion, from players or fans. No, Kirby's brought a different brand to Athens. A better brand.

You're literally implying that exceptions are few and far in between by having to search for them.

I know you're too far into this thing to change your stance and you're obviously not all there, so just do yourself a favor and stop posting.
