They finished in the top 5 in 2005 with an SEC Title and a BCS Bowl win.

Some have selective memories. UGA has been one of the most consistent programs in the SEC over the past few decades. Just haven't won it all in awhile. Hopefully that'll change soon.

It will be changing on Monday. Let the new dynasty begin.

Yeah but you fired the coach that did all that

And replaced him with a guy that has actually put us in contention for the national title and signed two classes ranked higher than any Richt signed.

I'd say we've upgraded (though, in Richt's defense, Kirby is getting to actually play with a full deck - competitive facility upgrades, Admin buy-in, large support staff, etc - that Richt never got. So we've actually upgraded in more ways than just the HC).

So the only time a school is "relevant" is when they win a NC?

So does that mean LSU was irrelevant in the 60's,70's,
80's,90's and this decade?

When will LSU join the CFP?

* For LSU fans, that's "College Football Playoff", not "Canada Fired Permenantly"

Kirby hasn’t done anything Richt didn’t do. You are putting the cart before the horse.

He went undefeated in the East

So, technically, you're wrong.

Ehhhhhhh, Richt actually had to play the East. This year the East is one of, if not the worst it's ever been. 1 - 13 vs. the West. Not a single team with 9 wins (outside of Georgia) and only Georgia is ranked.

He's not doing something anyone else couldn't do by having 8 starters on defense being seniors and the vast majority of his production coming because he has 2 NFL 5* senior running backs.

I mean cruising in the East, beating Samford, Appalachain State and Georgia Tech, eeking out of the one actual OOC team you had to play. This isn't nearly as impressive as it seems.

Kirby is already recruiting at a higher level than Richt. LSU fans are jealous because our program is putting itself in position to win multiple championships and their program is in utter disarray.

Georgia had never gone undefeated in the East since divisions formed in 92. I made a thread about it, because I was genuinely surprised they hadn't done it before.

Ray Goff and Jim Donnan could go undefeated against the East this year. As far as actual winning things like trophies and championships Kirby hasn’t done anything his fired predecessor didn’t do.

Well, it's literally his second year. Let's wait about two weeks and see what happens.

You left out beat Notre Dame in week 2 on the road while starting a freshman QB after our sophomore starer went out in Game 1 and won the SECCG over the winner of the West by 21 points when many thought we'd lose by 21

Recruiting was never Georgia’s problem. You have wasted more talent than any SEC team since 1990.
