This rivalry has already been ruined. The fans have gone bat shite crazy and with the constant effort to harm the other school it isn't fun anymore, at least not for me.

I'm not saying Bama fans are any better, though. Both schools have a shite ton of sidewalks that would love nothing more than to see the other school get the death penalty... over a fricking football game that really has no history compared to the other big games in the SEC.

I don't think it's that bad. The nutty minority is able to make more noise now, with the internet,etc.

Is there any chance that the SEC let's Bama and Auburn both move to the east?
I know it sounds crazy, but I can see the conference leaders giving in to bam a to keep it's rivalries with Tenn and AU and simply putting both of them in the east and balancing it by moving UK or Vandy to the west. Would really suck for LSU, would feel like getting kickers out of the SEC.

I think I made my point clear. fricking look at ITAT some day. Then go to Tidefans and look at the whole subforum they've devoted to Cam Newton.

How about instead of inconveniencing multiple current SEC teams we make the 14th team join the SEC East? It's so obvious yet everyone is hellbent on it not happening for some reason. Everyone wants to shuffle teams around instead.

I don't think the rivalry has gone to shite...a reason for that is becuase i don't go to tidefans and ITAT and let the ramblings of madmen deter me from good natured banter.
I get fired up about the trees getting killed but until i see some bama fan trying to justify it by saying 'well by rolling the trees you were killing them anyway' i usually can dismiss it. I've had my moments thinking the rivalry needs a hiatus but in all honesty i think i'd make the state boring (or frustrating if one team was better than the other but stumbled somewhere and didn't have the chance to play the other to prove it was a fluke) if we didn't play.

True, but I like being in the best division in college football and I like playing Florida every year makes the wins that much better
