Hey, you stupid drunk, I'll comment on anything I want to here.

Although Slive is a dumb arse, I still believe he can not be so stupid as to end the UT-UA game.
The rivalry game between the two teams with the most wins in SEC history.
Nobody outside of the two fanbases really gives a shite about this game. I'd argue that the SEC as a whole wants to see UA/LSU, UA/AU and UT/UF more than a game where the two fanbases can talk about the good ol' days.

Move Vandy and Tennessee to the West and move Bama and Auburn to the East. Bama could still have Tennessee as their permanent West opponnent and still play AU every year.

I bet you'd love that, wouldn't you?

It's for geographical purposes only.

That is possible, but it is very important for the UT and UA fans. Why have a conference if you can't keep the integrity of the rivalries intact.

I say just kick Vandy out. Move Tenn to the West, and Auburn to the East.

College graduate but not at Alabama and I agree the rivalry needs to cool it's heels for a while. It is getting rediculous.

In that scenario you lose the ut uf game. there really is no good way to go about this.

I would personally like to rekindle the Auburn/Vanderbilt rivalry. So the move would be ok with me.

I personally don't care about the money. SEC will always have plenty. What made the conference great were the strong traditions, rivalries, etc. That's why the passion in this conference can not be touched by any other conference, not the amount of money made from a tv contract.

That's your opinion. I respect it, but its not mine or the majority of both Auburn and Bama fans I'll bet you.

I'd say 99% of the fans would agree with you, myself included. But CFB is changing, and it appears as though there is going to be a lot of collateral damage to get these super conferences. The only silver lining is that we're getting closer to having a playoff.

Agree.
I was just reading another thread about UT and the NCAA and it turned into to a Bama/aubie pissing match over probation talk. I hate aubie and love to shite talk them, but all the destroying shite and trying to get the other on probation is just too much. It's going to kill us both.
btw- I know this stuff has gone on in the past, but not even close to the level right now.

Must mean a whole lot more to the sidewalk bammers... AU Alumni could care less and would enjoy watching bama lose one of its so called great traditions due to our realignment

If the Iron Bowl dies off, Louisiana football actually gets a little bit of relevance
Good point. No one notices teams with two BCS titles in 7 years and the current AP #1 ranking.
It is funny how that works isn't it. You'd think people would care. However, they know LSU won its last by backing into the game while wasting Saban's stockpile of talent, and their real coach took a step up to Bama.

As of now, only half the SEC tunes in to watch Arky whip LSU's butts at the end of the year.
Another good point. Two wins in the last three after having lost 4 straight to LSU certainly is "whip(ping)LSU's butts at the end of the year."
Try three out of the last four. Including the year you were ranked number one and they were unranked and, somehow, you still got to play for the NC.
Please post more. Your keen knowledge and incite is sorely needed on this forum

You'd like more? How about this, you're program is known more for its jackass fans than for championships. People go to road games at LSU just for the side trip to New Orleans. Home fans go to Baton Ruge just for the side trip to N.O. The rest of the country thinks your little hard partying tailgating thing is great for one time of year, but an absolute shame to make a weekly habit.

2 permanent opponents from the other division maybe? Then just rotate the other five teams for the third game.
