Considering the fact that you don't have a rival I don't expect you to understand.

so take my statement and apply it to whomever, not necessarily smash mouth tider.

It is GREAT to have a rivalry like ours. My next door neighbor and his family are full-on hard-core Auburn, and they're the most wonderful neighbors you could ever ask for. We have a ball messing with each other about it.
I'll be driving by their house, and the 12 year boy Luke will be outside.. "Roll Tide!"... and he'll immediately stop whatever he's doing, jump up, run after my truck and yell "Waaaaaaarrrrrr EAGLE!".
Stuff like that is great.

the sidewalkers have wayyy to much invested and it has already made a negative impact on AU's campus with the tree killing.

I still think someone will murder that guy in his sleep.

It does seem that the fringe crazies on both sides are building an army of hate toward each other. I love me some Auburn but I don't let a college football team affect my personal life.
I have a friend that is a HUGE bama fan, He won't answer his phone if Auburn won or Bama lost and I don't even trash talk much to him cuz he's sooooo sensitive about it.

They just want to run to that weaker division :)
Seriously, I was always against expansion but $$$$ ruled.
Pretty soon we're going to need a salary cap on the NCAA teams just like the pros.

For the traditionalists (and there are many) TN is the bigger rival. And for many more, potentially playing Auburn twice in a single season does cheapen the rivalry. This is not opinion, but fact.
Either way, Bama loses in this unless moved to the East as well. TN and Auburn cannot both be the locked "non-divisional" game based on the way the rules are set up and how many teams there will be. I just don't see the SEC allowing teams within the same division to not play each other during a 12 game season. It may happen in 2012 as we see with Bama / Ole Miss, but I'd be shocked if that continued based on bitching and money.

how so 7 teams in the west so they play the other 6, plus auburn, plus tenn? that's 8 games locked in every year... 1 rivalry is gonna get killed off no way around it by shuffling auburn east

I don't care if they move to the east,I don't wanna lose our rivalry with Tennessee...

It'll ruin the Iron Bowl.
Oh,no ! that's just horrible.

If the Iron Bowl dies off, Louisiana football actually gets a little bit of relevance. As of now, only half the SEC tunes in to what Arky whip LSU's butts at the end of the year.

Bama will not lose the UT or au game.

Good point. No one notices teams with two BCS titles in 7 years and the current AP #1 ranking.

Another good point. Two wins in the last three after having lost 4 straight to LSU certainly is "whip(ping)LSU's butts at the end of the year."
