In real terms G-Tech, Clemson or FSU should be in the SEC putting Arkansas and LSU in the Big12.

Why would it make sense for LSU to leaves the schools they have been conference mates with since before the SEC. Especially for a weaker and more disorganized conference.

No, I understand the word, just not your misuse of it.

But anyway, I find it hard to believe there is even a sizable minority in your fan base that would want to go to the Big 12... what do you guys have to gain?

Less money?
Less prestige?
Less national coverage?
Being Texas' bitch?

Who said that?

If we are being real LSU (FSU first) isn't in the southeast and neither is Kentucky (Clemson) or Arkansas (G-Tech) and possibly Mississippi. * ( ) are schools that could easily replace us and keep the same money. Arkansas and LSU to the Big12 would make it much stronger and easily level with the SEC.

Clemson, G-Tech, FSU, UNC, NC-State, Miami etc are way ahead of us in line if conference were formed today. They would certainly be picked over Vanderbilt and the Mississippi schools.

We are all playing hypothetical.

Arkansas, Texas, OU, Texas A&M and LSU all in the same conference would draw hella cash. However, we are comfortable and no one is moving.

Nobody in the Arkansas fan base wants to go to the Big 12.

Like maybe 1 out of 1000.

And not a a single person under the age of 40.

You're talking a tiny, tiny minority of people around 60+ plus who still have more history hating Texas.

I am 34 and could not give a shite less about playing Texas.

SEC is really all I have known.

Just to make sure this is clear, that was an Oklahoma fan that started that, not a WVU fan I dont think any school would leave the SEC. No way.

If anybody tried to take us out of the SEC they'd lose everybody under 40. It would be a shitstorm of epic proportions.

It simply would never happen.

I posted the link because of how absurd the whole conversation went, and because I knew the trolling might be worth a few hours of entertainment.

Fully agree with this, but I still don't think it would be more cash than what we have now

Geography isn't the only consideration. And without Arkansas, Mizzou makes zero sense, and A&M makes a helluva lot less sense in the SEC.

Speaking of, why the frick do you Aggies want to end the JerryWorld game?

This is an intense, 3 hours loud atmosphere:

Copy and paste my post or better yet screen shot it where I said LSU should leave the SEC?

Yes, FSU would easily replace LSU in the SEC and keep the same money. As G-Tech could replace Arkansas and Clemson replaces Kentucky.

Arkansas and LSU aren't leaving the SEC but if they did it would make the Big12 neck and neck with the SEC day in and day out. TV would eat up Arkansas vs. Texas, OU vs LSU, Texas A&M vs Texas and rotate those not to mention a good Okie State team and surging TCU team.

Just fun to think about but it will never happen because Arkansas burned that bridge 20 years ago and we are still smiling. We do not want any part of that conference. If it wasn't for Arkansas being in the extreme NWA part of Arkansas this topic would NEVER surface as the majority of the state sits below memphis and is closer to the SEC.

Little Rock is as close to Ole Miss as it is Arkansas in it's own state, weird but true. El Dorado, Arkansas is closer to Baton Rouge than Fayetteville.

What's odd is this... Mizzou is closer to SEC schools than Texas A&M.

True. Arkansas and LSU are the only reasonably close trips A&M has, whether from Houston, DFW or Collie Station.

Go back and read your post on the prior page. I quoted you directly.
The are you serious remark was to you saying LSU wasn't in the Southeast. Call me crazy I have always considered the Southeast, Arkansas and Louisiana east, TN and Carolina south. I'm sure there prolly are fringes of our two states that don't feel completely Southeast, but then I'm in NOLA, and other than feeling like its in another country, it very much feels southeast here.
But like you said it would never happen, so no reason to argue about it
