It would be easier for the committee to leave Bama out of the CFP

So they don't establish a double standard with 10-3 Bama over a 11-2 BYU, both took a blowout loss in their CCGs. There's no way to defend that.
You either put Bama and BYU in or you put Miami and ND in.

Yeah and cancel every future conference championship because no one will ever play them from the SEC, B1G, ACC, etc

championship games was going away within the next 3 years.. They will just speed it up

That’s a fatality.
People generally say whatever makes them feel good until there’s money involved and then they use words to justify doing whatever makes them more of it.
If they leave out Bama it’s gonna blow up the championship games which costs everyone money so until I see that I’m not gonna believe it.

Might as well either way. The whole "You can’t penalize a team for losing the conference championship " narrative is setting the table for teams in situations like Bama was in this year to just say "No thanks. We forfeit. See you in the playoffs. "

Or they will just move the team total to 16, which would basically ensure conference championship games would still go on because it wouldn’t cost a team a playoff spot. I do agree the championship games need to go away.

So you're comparing BYU's schedule to Bama's? When will people get through their heads that strength of schedule is the #1 criteria for the committee according to their own guidelines? It's not win-loss record!

Yeah I think that’s why Bama is out, it’s just cleaner
